I have always found Mahabaratha very enticing for obvious reasons....i am quite fond of mythology and have devoured many books on the same....but Mahabaratha is an epic that stands out among them all.....it packs such a punch and the characters are indeed intriguing...above all there are ever so man...y shades to the characters which leaves you asking for more...it is very difficult for me to pick out didatic instances from this mammoth epic bcoz there are way too many....i am looking forward to your next revu! I genuinely enjoyed Abbas mustan's Baazigar.....Baadshah and a couple of movies starring Akki were bearable too....the director duo never claimed to produce masterpieces....nevertheless the promos of Race never got me excited though i really like Anil and Bips....dunno the reason and can't quite put... my finger on it...but i had a gut feeling that it wudn't be worth spending time and big bucks on...heard it is going great guns at the bo though! om shanti om, DiwakarRead More

Superb revu! I found myself nodding my head in agreement with most of of what you wrote....and the revu really seems to come from ur heart without bothering abt external factors such as the controversies concerning the rajputs and the AB jr angle.... very open minded of u.... abt the movie itself .......well it exceeded my expectations....which is really something considering that Swades is one of my fave movies post 2000....HR was simply astounding to say the least and Ash didn't look like a Barbie for a nice change.....Hatz off to Ashu and to u! Though i wholeheartedly disagree with u regarding Hritik....i really can't deny that your revu was very convincing...in the sense that someone who has little knowledge abt bollywood would definitely hate HR instinctively on reading the revu....well done mate!!....but what i didn't quite understand w...as ....why didn't you stresss a little more on his good performances in ficks like Lakshya , MK,Fiza and KMG....HR is also the saving grace of insipid flicks like NTJNH and D2 (IMO)....the revu cud have been slightly more balanced.....true he has some lousy performances to his credit...no denying it.....but all in all i feel he is by far the best newcomer HIndi cinema has seen in the last 10 years....but to each his own....i am in no way thrusting my opinion on others though!!
