Hi,
I am having both SBI and Private sector bank accounts. Till now I transferred my account three times in State Bank of India, Pondicherry, Karnataka and Tamilnadu in the last 8 years. In my experience all managers are very kind. They are listened my concern giving the solutions. Easily I wil...l meet the manager for any issues in my bank statement. Meeting the PSB Managers for the solving the issue is very difficult. For getting the NOC for closed loan in PSB they are taking 3 weeks.
Each time I am transferring the account from one state to other state they verified the account statement and address proof for new address updation. The manager is ready to give the Passbook and Cheque book in 3 working days. Due to my office timing I collected the passbook in the next week.
Internet Banking portal and its speed also very good compared to Private sector bank
Some of the points you mentioned is correct
1. We have to wait till our turn will come to meet the manager. There is no smiling face ladies with coat are not available for welcoming us. All Managers age is 30+
2. We have to maintain the minimum balance amount. In private bank will not check your minimum balance, yours is salary account that is enough
3. At least one in 6 months some transaction we have to do
4. They will not provide Tea/ Coffee ….
5. Any transaction we have to visit to the Branch. They will not come to our house for collecting Loan application submission, account opening, Cash collection etc…
