Highly suspicious reviews.Good to see that there are so many reviews of this wonderful bike that has left Passion XPRO and Dream Yuga miles behind.

Present day Passion Pro gives 55kmpl in highways & 50-52kmpl in city condition only-no matter how good a rider are you with moderate tuning. All it's charisma has ended after hero has tweeked the original honda engine. All it can boast of is it's ride quality after cursing on the terrible bad pickup i...t has.It is a elephant which is good to flaunt at others but difficult to bear with.An average of 85kms/litre + or so, which you are claiming is not possible-may be hardly 60.But, then also with this lean tuning on this new bike-you have messed the engine.New engines should run with factory preset tuning for at least 1500 to 2000 km- only then you will get good mileage.Prepare to experience a drastic fall in your bike performance very soon.Read More

TVS Jive is a failed bike in the market. Problem lies in poor implementation of auto clutch technology by using sub-standard materials and even poor service network & bad R&D.Better sell it off and get a troublefree bike like Honda Dream Yuga which returns at least 65kmpl with sane 40-50 spe...ed and superb pickup.Read More

Congratulations for your new purchase. How are you getting 65 kmpl on a 150 cc bike, that even on a petrol guzzler like Fazer? Even a best rider can manage to get atmost 45 kmpl, which after 2nd or 3rd service settles down to 35-37 only. You could get this milege(at max 55) only on old Unicorn and HH... Achiever. Please write true reviews-not fake ones after borrowing from others.Read More

Does it have a pass switch? How good is the headlight when you compare with pathetic herohonda bikes? Does it start in the mornning with one kick, or it requires choke? How good are the tubeless tyres and its roadgrip specially in this rainy season?

Nice to hear that you are getting 83kmpl from your very new bike.Any novice in the bike section knows that any 100cc HeroHonda bike can give not more than 50kmpl or at max 55kmpl in the initial 1000km run in period.Congrats, you have messed up with the initial factory preset tuning, that even before... your first service.Be sure, your bike will return at most 40kmpl in near future. My new CD Deluxe bought on 30.06.2011 is now giving me just near 58 kmpl after it’s first service, that also after several request from me to the HH service personel to tune my bike.It is advisable to run any 100cc bike for atleast 2000km(if not more) and then tune it for at most 60-65kmpl.Any more lean tuning will destroy the engine in the long run and engine will seize within 30K kms.In any case, HH Passion pro will give a city mileage of 53-55 kmpl at most and after 2 yrs., it will settle to 50 kmpl max.Read More

Hi sunilsshenoy, it is nice to hear that you bought HH Achiever on March 2011.Since it is a new bike, stick to factory preset tuning for atleast 2500 km on the odometer.Do not insist any mechanic to alter this tuning.Take the bike for a long highway tour for atleast 50km or so in 5th gear mainly at s...peed not exceeding 40 to 50 kmph.Change engine oil first time at 500km and then every alternate 1800 to 2000 km max interval.Do not attempt to top up engine oil every 2000km as advertised by HH-just replace it.Start your bike daily using choke for 30-45 sec. and then leave the bike on in idle condition for atleast 1/2 minute in choke-off condition. Also, do not race your engine during this first start condition of the day-this will ruin the engine pretty quickly. Also, you may use half-clutch mode during run-in period only-after that try not to use clutch at all by utilising suitable gear ratios at any speed u desire.Maintain tyre pressure and check it once every week.Do not use premium petrol-instead use good ordinary petrol from any reputed bunker.Follow these steps and you will get good mileage for sure.Remember,run-in period is very important for this bike engine.Read More

You are absolutely right.Achiever is indeed the best bike in 150cc category with incredible fuel efficiency of 53 kmpl in city and 60 kmpl in highway. My 1.5 year old bike is now smooth as butter and is very reliable in all conditions.I drive this bike at ease using its toe and hill gear shifter insp...ite of severe leg pain I suffer because I am suffering from severe gout. This facility is not available in CBZ and Hunk.I have added and tried a 35/35 watt bi-xenon HID for continuous 1 month with no issue at all. This shows that the charger/rectifier is also of very high quality and power.Only drawback is the lack of 100/90 tower at the rear, which in turn lowers the mileage to 45 kmpl like Hunk/CBZ.But, driving the bike sane within 45 to 55 kmph makes it absolutely stable using front disc brake and a mechanical ABS from KRP.It has saved my life several times in the bumper traffic condition here in Kolkata. One more thing to add, just think about the engine tuning, when it gives zero sound at 60 kmph at 2500 to 3000 rpm only.Who the hell needs upto 8000 rpm at city/highway when 3000 rpm is enough for a sane driver like me.Insanes will not like this bike for sure.Read More

Some more additions after 2600 km. of use.I have changed the rear tyre with a 100/90 MRF Nylogrip tyre as I was facing stability problem during taking sharp turns and on slippery roads. The change is a boon to me.Though mileage has now dropped to 50 kmpl-but the stability has increased manifold. Als...o. after incorporating a mechanical ABS in my front disc brake,my bike's stability has increased tremendously.I can apply dead brakes at 65-70(that is my top speed of travel) with zero case of front wheel locking or bike skidding.I wonder why bike companies fail to incorporate ABS as a standard fitment. It will save life/injuries of several bikers like me. Now I love my bike more dearly.Read More

Hi Ilyasmd, new HH new mode of denoting engine no. & chasis no. of my Achiever starts with KC & KB & as per manual, the yr.of manufacture is in 7th & 10th place of the respective sl. nos.where it reads as 9.So, 2009 is the year of production.Actual sl. no. occupies last 5 digits of the available 14 ...& 17 digit of engine & chasis no.Read More

Hi, Praveen_S, for your interest I would like you to know that chasis/frame no. contains EK9 and engine no. contains EB9 in their respective positions showing year of manufacture as 2009.Do not think Hero Honda has reached the bottom line in sales to sell 2008 bikes with a new tagline of 2009.Also, ...even a novice like me has checked all the info you mentioned prior to buying my bike.Oh, one thing for sure, this bike gives me 60 kmpl at 5th gear-checked out in NH ride for a stretch of 75 km up/down today at a steady speed of 50 kmph.No kidding- didn't I get a marvel over Hunk/cbz/pulsar?Read More

Some more points added: 9)My bikes color is cherry red and though not head-turning but is ok.There is no nitrox shox in the rear but I do not need a better one than the one provided as it does it’s job well in Kolkata roads even with 2 pillion riders. 10)Though this bike does not have any digita...l gizmos-but I personally feel them as unreliable as they will fail surely in future as no electronic board lasts for a long time.Once I messed up the speedometer cable-it got twisted and sheared within 05 days of purchase. But I got it fixed with only Rs.63/= at HH authorized workshop.Who says HH spare parts are costly? And why I bought this bike inspite of choosing Hunk,Cbz,GS150R,pulsar-utter & the best engine/gear refinement, best mileage comparable to 100cc bikes, best seating position without any backpain/wristpain,good center stand capability for a not so strong person like me, good headlight,no digital gizmos for inviting maintenance issues in future, kick start/power start at hand. Cons-wish a thicker rear tyre & a better headlight & led indicators/back-light for this almost perfect bike.Rear disc brakes are needed.Read More

Please remember to switch on the fuel knob for 10 minutes prior to applying choke for the first kick of the day.Remember to apply kick for the first time of the day. Also,do race the engine for few minutes gently before u start in first gear. Please do not accelerate above 40 km/hr before u drive for ...first 1 km. of the day. When the engine hats up after 1 km, this bike is a butter.Follow this footsteps and u will get the best performance from this bike. Also, never use speed petrol-instead use normal unleaded petrol.Read More
