Mozilla Firebird: Break free Mozilla Firefox
I know that M$ used to block the MSN site from Opera (another superb browser) saying that you need to download IE if you were to use their site. It might be a similar monopolistic tactic - if you are not using M$, you can't use M$ services :(

Mozilla Firebird: Break free
(Updated Sep 02, 2003 11:29 AM)
It's a long time since I wrote a review here, so it's nice to be back! This review is posted using Mozilla Firebird 0.6.1+. Firebird is for you if you want just a browser -- a very good one -- and nothing more. Remove mail, news, messenger and composer (if you don't know what these are, then ...Read more

I just happen to be one who can't afford to buy a fridge very often. So a lot of thought, observation and investigation went into my purchase. It took us (my wife and I) atleast 2 months before we decided to go for a Siemens 330 litre fridge. Some of the good thoughtful things which we observ...Read more

Instant messengers (IM) have come and gone. And I've been lucky enough to use most of them including the AOL-Netscape IM, Jabber, ICQ (the mother of all IMs), Yahoo, and the ones from IndiaTimes and Rediff. I can say that Yahoo! rules. I've been driven towards Yahoo Messenger because of its f...Read more
Spicy food. Bar might be an added attraction Oasis - Church Street - Bangalore
Thanks for comments. Unfortunately I don't think I can stretch my restaurant reviews to that length. I may not be able to do justice to our MS community. I guess I've written a handful of huge reviews like the one on Preventing Spam, Egroups etc. Some of them have taken a lot of pain to compile. ... I would't disappoint you. Finding this place wouldn't be a problem for anyone. Enter into Church Street from Brigade Road and there you are. Park your car in Brigade or Church Street. They have little space for parking and you may to squeeze your car in. Handing over the keys to the valet will be a better idea. The am...Read more

(Updated Jun 10, 2002 02:08 PM)
This tiny place looks more like a college joint. But the food is not. Especially the sandwiches and burgers. And particularly the lamb burger. It is huge, heavy and filling. And it is served with a bowl of mayonnaise and chips. And all this comes for Rs. 36; Just a fraction of what you will othe...Read more

Kochi is my town-in-law. Naadan was the choice for last weekend's eat-out with my in-laws. Too good! On a Saturday evening I enjoyed one of the best restaurant ambiences in my life. So quiet, so clean, so friendly and so so. The menu lists everything in chaste Malayalam written in English....Read more

My grandmother makes much better appams topped with eggs! You can't deny that the food at Grove is great. They just charge a hell too much :(
Just for the grilled chicken... Hotel Empire International - Church Street - Bangalore
Quite busy these days with work, buddy. The recession never seems to recede :(
Thanks for the comment. Liquor is a strict NO as far as I know. Credit cards are not generally needed unless you are thrice a glutton as me. Even a heavy meal for two will be well within 300 bucks.

Authentic Kerala cuisine, good ambience but price
(Updated Jun 10, 2002 02:49 PM)
Overpriced is the word that comes first. The food is good especially the Kerala dishes and the ambience is quite different. It's nice to be here atleast once and despite the price I've done it twice. Two kerala appams for Rs. 25 is a bit too much, but being a glutton I could stop only with th...Read more

Spam, which is just another word for ''junk mail'' or more formally, unsolicited e-mail, is one of the biggest curses of the Internet Age.
