Dude Debasishray - Make the math. If axis bank has minimum deposit of 10k per month and pay 4% interest, it is effectively collecting Rs.600/- for maintaining your account. If it has 50 lac customer across india - It effectively collected 300 crores every year. Its way too much money. I guess, they ...will be collecting easily twice that amount in ways of fines/ addtional charges on debit cards etc., 1000 k from just plain banking services. I even dated to asked their employee-- straight away-does he has the account in the bank- he says no . I have it in Vijaya bank where the minimum balance is Rs. 300/- . Sure the private banks are more responsive than Pubic sector ones. But their leeching mentality is driving people away. They are like killing the golden goose instead of rearing it for the golden eggs.. A lot of revenue can come from potential customers in way of deposits/loans, other services. Surcharge waver on Petrol :fraud transactions

There are two types of petrol pumps in Indian oil . Indian Oil & Indian Oil IBP . IBP merged with Indian oil some 4 years back. Though both are branded as Indian Oil, I noticed that IBP INdian oil outlets does not offer the surcharge waiver. So be sure that the outlet is just Indian Oil . Not ...IBP Indian Oil. SMS ''START DND 0'' to 1909 from your mobile or if you are getting distrubed on a landline, you can call 1909 and ask to activate Do Not Distrub facility on your phone. After that, If you are still getting disturbed with calls, you can complain by callling or SMSing to 1909 within 24 hours.
