Update 22 DEC: So far, the name has not been corrected on my account. Spoke to customer service atleast 10 times and they repeat same thing again and again as i mentioned before. Finally, one smart customer service rep gave me an email address where i can send soft copy of photo id proof in order to... correct the spelling mistake on my name. well, first part of ur review is exactly what happened with me. From 'I got a call from a HSBC agent' to 'NOT MORE THAN 10 WURRKING DAYS. I returned back to my office and everything seemed fine.', i had the same experience but fortunately i didn't get a card from them because i refused to give them ...my office phone number. They called atleast 5 times requesting for my office contact number, but i was adamant not to give it and hence my application was rejected. ...whether you tried phone banking in last 5 yrs of relationship with ICICI or not. In my opinion, phone banking shud always be the last option to reach the bank asking for a service. Its also an un-safe medium to do the transactions. You never know the person on the other side and he/she would defi...nitely ask for your details. Let me quote an example. I called ICICI bank (from US) yesterday to find out the MICR code for their Pune branch. The person on the line asked me all sort of questions, like my bank account number, my date of birth, my billing address. After 10 minutes i really got annoyed and blasted the person telling him that MICR code is supposed to be a unique number for a bank branch and any person is allowed to know it, no matter he/she is a customer or not. Then he said sorry and took another 5 sweet minutes to tell me the MICR code.Read More
