@ketanbpatel ~ With all due respect Mr Patel, Buddy (with an additional 'd') is not how I would refer to you and me. I still don't understand what you are trying to convey, apart from trying to appease my temper. May I gently guide you towards point no J/ in the above writeup?
I am not sensitive... and I am always happy. It is just that you represent a large majority of the reading public on this forum, who appreciate a certain kind of writing. Unfortunately (or fortunately) neither do I connect with that nor can I write like that. It is a different matter that I would not wish to either...
Don't bother straining to read what I write since I shall not be writing here henceforth. The site has the sort of writers who cater to their clientele. The only reason I reply here today is to clarify that this decision comes after much deliberation and not a little heartburn.
Your very post underlines what I have said in my review... As you might also notice, this text replaces all my reviews that have been written till date. Including one which got that most 'cherished' and 'coveted' ROD status.
Thank you for returning to clarify (sic!) your position.

28 - 30 degrees is not cooling on any air-conditioner!!! any temperature from 24 degrees and less is termed ''air-conditioning'' and is the temperature when any branded compressor is designed to switch on.
because you set the thermostat to 28 degrees, the compressor will not switch on since it d...oes not feel the need to do so. therefore, your 'review' if you can call it that is mis-leading and silly.

I agree that a viable and more modern alternative needs to exist in the space that is pretty much sewn up tight by Enfield at the moment. But the thing ...is, that the market for an Enfield will exist, even when the alternative finally sees the light of day. An unfortunate truth (for certain people) but a truth nonetheless.
I do believe, 'Junk' is too strong word to use for the motorcycle, however each to his own as they say eh??? :)

@ everyone, thank you for all your wishes and kind words. I'm not sure how all this works, but I was not expecting it and was extremely surprise to suddenly see so much traffic ...on the review, which is what made me come and see what was happening... I'm glad I did though.

I’m wondering what drew you to FIAT in the first place Venkat? Could it be any of the following maybe?
1/ The lure of buying a ’bigger & better’ car for SO much less money than anything else in the market?
2/ The promise of tank like security in a ...used car price the matches the value of a Maruti 800?
3/ The VERY SAME reason that you crib about now i.e. No resale value?
4/ The guarantee that you would be getting a car, substantially better put together than anything even a class up in category?
5/ The lure of the handsome looks of the car which still turns heads after 9 years in the market?
6/ The peppy 1.2.l engine that is a tad underpowered but a gem nonetheless to drive around in the city?
And may I actually ask, at an estimated price point of 1,08,000.00 which car would satisfy all of the above criteria?
The problems u speak of are highly documented in print/ online/ offline/ personal experiences. Why did u not do ur due diligence before putting your money where your heart evidently was?
I almost cried the day my trusted 7 year old Palio was driven away from my office after I was forced to sell her, because I did not have the space (or the need) for 3 cars, since my next fiat (A Linea btw) arrived a week before the incident.
She had faithfully done 1,40,000 kms+. Survived being booted by a truck on the highway, without injuring any of her 3 occupants. Been the preferred mode of transport for my wife & the children’s school run, grocery run, late night party runs.
You should never have bought into FIAT as a brand Venkat, because you will never understand why people love these cars. (That you have actually pretty much have said in as many words) I wish you luck with your next Zen or Maruti 800.

i second monty on this one... you just got the short end of the stick. we (my wife and i) are hardcore mac users, with a pretty much multiple mac based office and home...
apart from the odd glitch...we have been lucky (as have everyone we know who uses macs) with our machines. i love the macs an...d am writing this on an i7 powered 17'' macbook pro, which arrived after our faithful 17'' powerbook pro, finally started to sigh wearily - 7 years after she came home :)
i feel for you and your situation...but, 'sod's law' ???

reality shows thrive on reaching into the dregs of human emotion, and displaying the same for vicarious public consumption.
WE are responsible for the bilge on tv. Stop watching it; the channel will be FORCED to stop producing it.
Simple enough as a thought, but who has the stomach to implemen...t it??

I was pleasantly surprised at finding this review.
As someone who was was on his way to being very closely involved with this show, not very long back, I did not have the stomach for the bilge that was to be peddled.
Rest assured that the content is 'directed' and very often scripted. That is ...an unfortunate truth about reality shows today. Frankly, good content on tv is almost non-existent and if this is the sort of programming that satisfies the vicarious longings of the masses...who are we to object?
The sensible option for an intelligent person? Go back to reading!!!Read More
