Today is Children’s Day, a great day filled with laughter and fun. Let’s take a moment to think of the less fortunate children, who are deprived of food, potable water, proper clothes, shelter and education. We can all try and help these under privileged children, if we can even part finance one school child, it will be a great help towards betterment of these children.

There are several organizations, through which you can help these children. Or you can help your maid’s child or poor children around your locality if they are there by volunteering to teach them.

This Children’s Day I want my son to celebrate it in unique way. Every nursery rhyme or a poem that you write here, he will donate Re One to a poor child upto the total limit of Rs 1000/-, this money goes from his pocket.

If you wish, gift something like a book, notebook, colours or a small storybook to some under privileged child.. Wish All The Children A Happy Children’s Day, me included for I am the biggest kid around ;-)

I would like to express my Thanks to all of you, for your Wishes, gifts, M2M's and posts to wish me on my Birthday. Thanks to MS Team for giving me one of the best gift by making one of my post a Featured Post..

This is a day I am having mixed feelings as this is the first birthday. my Mom is not there to wish me. On the other hand I have gained another Family and Friends on MS, indeed I feel myself very fortunate today to find so much care, love and affection. I would like to thank my brothers Seraj and Anup, for being there for me always and being a source of inspiration to me. My Chote Bhai ( as I call him) Akash, who though very sleepy kept awake to write a post to wish me, My Natkhat Bro Jams for all the love and security that I get from him. All the encouragement I get from Arun Da and Sajith( the newest entrant in my fold). My sisters Angel and Sujata always by my side. My mischievious son sachin dropping into say hello whenever he has some spare time. My Best friend Mazhar, my biggest supporter and who encourages me most. My friends Paul, Subhash, Santhosh, Umesh, Dev , Shalu, Monoo, Swati, Bhupi, Ambuj, Debs, Sidd, Vishal, Raja,Sonika, Mehul, Praveen, Nisha, Seema, Suparna, Sonia, Harry, Maroof, Raj, Nidhi, Payal, FE, Angela, Silky, Behave, Nithin and Kiran. Friends I miss having around Aakshat, Deadlikings, Ipsita, Shalini, Spike and Mbf. Each of you all have always have a special place in my heart. There are some whom I came to know for the first time today but I was touched by their gifts, M2M's and wishes. Thanks for all the encouragement and support you all have given me. Last but not the least, I would mention Madhumom and Nagaraj Sir, both of them will always be special to me. Thanks Faisal, for this wonderful site. Jasmine who always responds to me and all the MS Support team.

Since morning I have read several posts on Love, we keep searching for love and it’s meaning. There is never ending discussion on this emotion called LOVE. I wanted to make a decent comment but was unable to do so as her( plz read further to know) face was constantly in front of me. Paul did raise one question on love on his post, the question is ..What is Love? Let me share something with you all this, I won’t call this an incident or a story as this is something real and a permanent loss in my best friend’s life.

My friend called me today morning, I found her voice little heavy, after our usual greetings , she told me that her SIL expired last week. This didn’t come as a jolt to me as I had known since last two weeks; that she was living her last days of her life as she was on Life Support System. Since last four months she was in ICU battling for her life, She had severe Asthama and was having difficulty in breathing. Her husband that is my friend’s brother was with her the whole time, even when she was breathing her last. She had tubes in her body, was on a liquid diet, kept under severe sedation as she was suffering from intense pain. She was not even brain dead, she was aware of her surroundings, so she had to be kept on life support systems. I wish the Government allows Euthanasia in such cases. She must have gone under so much agony. Do you think her loved ones must have suffered less?

Spending four months in a hospital will take a toll on anyone, physically, mentally and financially. How he must have suffered too, looking at his loved one gasping for breath, not knowing when her end will come. Oscillating between hope and despair, knowing that this may be the last time that he maybe seeing her alive.

Her husband had always stood by her side, they met in their workplace, she was older to him by 3-4 year, they were childless yet they lead a happy life. Isn’t this love, they were there for each other always. Even after losing his beloved and life partner with whom he spent nearly 22 yrs of his life, he was comforting other people in his life.

To stick through thick and thin with someone, to share their joys and sorrows with them is love. He fully abided by the wedding vows he took in the Church( They are Catholics).

Carl, May God give strength to you and your family to bear the loss. Jess, May You Rest in Peace, it was wonderful to know you.

Songs are an integral part of our bollywood movies, they will be soulless with them. They have songs for every situation in the movie. Now I want you to think of one Msian and the song you would like to sing for her/him. The song can be either Hindi or English.

The rules are :
1) You name one Msian and the song that you will sing for him /her.
2) Please write your comment no and their MS ID in Title and the song, where you usually write the comment.
3) You can post only one Entry per comment so that it is easy to count and writing comment number makes it easier to compile the results.
4) You can post as many entries you want.
5) You can name one person only once.
6) When you are asking something or replying to someone’s comment do not write your comment number.
7) The contest ends at 11.59 pm on Tuesday, 11 Nov 2008.

1. The person who writes most songs will get prizes worth 150 MS Points.

I would like to thank all my friends for its overwhelming success. The results are as follows :

Angel was the one to ask the most questions, the number being 24.
Harry had limited his quota at 20.
Paul to is just one short of Harry at 19

Angel gets the prize of 200 MS Points for asking the most questions, She has answered all the six questions posed to her.

Most of the participants have answered all the questions put to them. So I am sending gifts of 50 MS Points to these friends - Angel, Paul, Harry, Raj, Santhosh, Sajith, Shalu, Suparna, Mazhar, Dev, Kirti, Nidhi. The number of questions asked were too less( some were asked only one question), so I had to change the rules a little and sending the prizes to all the participants who asked someone a question.

I liked the questions put by Harry and JAMS to me very much, so a special prize of 100 MS Points goes to each of them.

I sent the gifts to Sujata but they were meant for her son as her bday is in June and already over. If you are sending the gifts then send it for her son as he is the birthday boy.
