Dude, you did a good thing by getting an Electra 5S. I got one too finally a few days before Diwali. I didn't get the elctric start man. In almost 3 weeks I did 1000 km. Even now my actual registration is not done...I am still on T/R. I love the bike. Nice thump and all. I have been getting some 27 ...kmpl. My dad keeps reminding me how I wasted my money getting an elephant. But an elephant is an elephant. The mightiest! Of course it will need lots of food right? Likewise some really annoying niggles keep cropping up. Like the rackety noises my bike makes only during morning. At nights it sounds like a machine gun. ;-) But man its all worth it. I have stopped drinking so as to let my bike drink from whatever money I can spare on myself. I put Speed/XTra Prem all the time but there is no difference in mileage. I think the engine runs cleaner thats about it. But the brake play keeps getting stuck, the clutch feels like its gonna snap. The gears are most disobedient. But who cares an elephant is an elephant right? The kings always ride on them to look down upon just ordinary people. Well I have been getting admiration, adulation, what not. I have made a couple of friends too cause of my Electra. No other bike can do that can it?!? Good review bro!Read More

If you ask me 'intelligence' is nothing but the sense of adventure and wanting to know. 2001 ASO gives enough, thing is are you ready to jump your comfort zone? 2 1/2 hours of nothing is probably the most ignorant thing someone could say about this movie. 40 years and counting...look how well this movie has held up to the flatulent times that have been. To put things in perspective this movie happened at a culturally important time in the modern world (definitively American) history. I would call it a cultural benchmark to sieve out the dimwits and the mentally obese versions of mankind. A genial film by a genial director inspired by a genial writer. What else?

guess you grew up on the MTV style flourishes. Boy you seem to be quite a newbie to sci-fi. Everyone is entitled to their opinions definitely. 2001 ASO didnt exactly draw rave reviews on its release. But wait a minute, you can be comatose or culturally indifferent to undermine a four decade old movi...e's pioneering work. If not for 2001 we would not have a whole genre of your 'so-called' MTV scifi. Er?! I-Day and 2001? A comparison? Bull sh*t! Wake up. Watch good cinema.Read More

Well Saurab and his attitude disgusts me. What disgusts me even more is BCCI and its miserable ways. What a vain drama. No use blaming anyone. This is how Indian cricket is, utterly non-professional. Talk about emotional blackmail, something the 'Prince of Kolkata' seems to be indulging in. Okay s...o he is India's most successful captain. Thing is, he was lucky to have guys like Rahul, Sachin, Kumble, Sehwag, Laaxman by his side. Not forget the sprity Bhajji. To say he deserves a place based on his history is good enough to rob Yuvi-Kaif of their test place. How sad! Greg Chappell indeed showed whats chronically disgusting and terribly ill about Indian cricket. The lack of the professional outlook. In Australia talent is nurtured to be self-effacing. In India it becomes ego-driven. HOPELESS! :(Read More

Aha...eh...mm. A right hand version SLR. Strikes me cause buddy they NEVER made right hand versions of this car!!! A very well written fantasy I would say, I appreciate that part. But don't tell me the folks at Stuttgart just let you drive one of their 'right hand versions'. Next time before you i...ndulge in such fantasy stoking, atleast get your facts right baby. And you telling me you drove a Carrera GT, oh why not when I just bought myself a new LearJet. Keep writing...just that it would be nice if they had a fantasy review section. I would fill in those pages in no time. Don't take offense, atleast try to get more actual information next time! Hey there are not many car makers in the world that can make cars like FIAT, make them a at a value, make them better than any tin-metal Hyundai or Suzuki. FIATs have been for a hundred years. It is indeed difficult to imagine the automotive world without this legend. I am guessing that won't happen.... Great talent always redeems itself. FIAT has immense knowledge and no foolishness will make FIATs bad cars. Just that FIAT has too much passion about making cars and its seems there are no management guys to teach them how to sell these beauties. The ultimate drving experience for those who can't afford the German barges. Palio, of course! Even if FIAT ceases to exist!Read More

Thanks for the comments friends. I expected people to pass me fire for messing with the Bullets...lol...and I went to the limit of calling the T-Bird not quite a cruiser. Blasphemous for any Bullet lover? Real Bullet lovers call Birds blasphemous! Indeed, I have been a Bullet lover and owner. I h...ad the older 350. (Whats new or old with the 350?). Yes, the torque and power figures are better. Both are different creatures. Agreed the 180 DTSi is not meant for a cruiser bike. But it still does its job with elan, ride an Avenger and you will notice no hassle performance. While I wouldn't want to call these Birds choppers, we will come close because there is no push-rod sounder in India to remind us of the real thing - The Harley. That doesn't make a Bullet a cruiser. A Bullet is a Bullet only in its true 350 version. The new aluminium engined, 5-gear models have been high on the 'not-trusty' list. Bullets were never meant to be cruisers. The frame dynamics, the suspension and ride not comparable to 'choppers'. The fun, the hassles, the raptures and the heart-break all make for the Bullet experience. Thats another story... Enjoyment factor of a Bullet is in a different league and there is no comparison to the Avenger. The Avenger is a great bike given its high-spec, lower price and more than decent performance. Comfort wise I call the Avenger much comfy than the non-NitroX new version Birds. New Birds are very comfy indeed but the Avenger is still awesome in this deal. But being a Bullet rider I know what goes into a relationship with these machines. For someone who is just wondering between an Avenger and a Bird, I will say go for the Avenger still. You will enjoy your ride more because you do get a lot more for what you pay and you really don't have to bother after buying one. It comes down to this whenever one compares a Bullet to any other bike - Its the choice between the passion and logic. Now you decide.Read More
