They are fooling around with the parents here. Though the school once had a very nice staff, the poor quality of the management lost all of it!! They are only money centric people and think about every rupee they spend for kids. Their rule is a ratio of 1:15/20 kids and in reality they fol...Read more

Also someone mentioned that there is also a lot of partiality in even grading the child and selecting them for co-curricular activities, I disagree, if your child is really good he/she will shine out regardless of his cast/ creed. No true teacher will judge a child as per the child's caste or religi...on. The preference of admission factor that these schools have applies to all schools. One cannot comment on Abhinav only. All schools do that. There are good schools like J. N. Petit but they also give special preference and facilities to Parsees only. Anjuman Islam school prefers Muslims candidates for their school. So all are the same. If you really want no religion no tradition, you will have to think of International schools, and they have no other tradition but the tradition of BIG BIG FEE STRUCTURES which grow by 10-20 percent every year and they very boldly accept and mention about it on their websites too. Indira International, Symbiosis International, Akshara, Mercedes International..and the list will go on... So this is the truth and this attitude of preference of admissions should change for all schools, and mainly the Convent Christian schools.. If those change their policies all other schools will definitely do the same. But at last everyone respects and is proud of his own Region and caste!! So it should change for all, as you said the 21st century really needs this change!!Read More

Dear Gopi6373, I agree with your comment that Abhinav School prefers Brahmin students. You go to any good schools in Pune we have a huge list: St. Mary's, St. Anne's, Bishop's, St. Joseph's, Loyola's all are big names BUT, they all have a clear admission criteria that they give priority of a...dmissions firstly to ROMAN CATHOLICS, secondly to CONVERTED/PROTESTANT CHRISTIANS and lastly all the otherswho come from NON CHIRSTIAN Moreoever the area in which the school lies also decides the crowd of the school. Abhinav School is in the heart of Erandwana (Law College Road/Karve Road Area), this area is widely and popularly known popular for its maximum Brahmin resident area. So automatically 90% to 95% crowd that applies for the school admissions there is Brahmins and so is the List of names like Apte, Joshi, Deshpande etc. Over all the school is a very good school and so is the feedback of maximum parents. Exceptions are there everywhere!! But that doesnt make the school a bad school or a Brahmin school. You said there is discrimination, then you must first go and see the list of the Convent and Christian schools!! Read More
