I have been using AMC skillet for Dosa and parathas along with other vessels of AMC. I agree that initially it is a problem getting the dosa right especially for those who are used to non stick tava. However, with practice it becomes easy. I was wary of throwing away my non stick Tava especially ...if I had to make Dosa in the morning when I am in a hurry. But now I just have the skillet and have no other substitutes. I am doing fine. It helps to go for the demonstration of the Dosa that they conduct at their centres. Twice I had some problems with the unit. Once the handle of the skillet broke and the other time the handle of another unit was damaged. Both times my unit was repaired with no questions asked. Infact since their factory is in Peenya it is an advantage for customers in Bangalore because they can get their unit back within a couple of days as against those who are elsewhere in the country. Even then, they do the service and they have life-long warrenty for the product. Their units are not very good in cooking Dals. Though they do it is a long draw process. However their Secuquick lid is good for cooking dals which it does faster than even the pressure cooker! It is exhobitantly priced and is very difficult to convince onceself. But my logic is instead of buying the diamond studs or the gold chain which you don't use every day and keep it in the locker, you might as well spend on something that is beneficial to the whole family.
