Reproducing one of my blog posts.....coz I felt strongly about it...and wanted to share it!

Thegist of the story is that there was held a high school girls basketball game between two schools; The Covenant School and the DallasAcademy. The end result was that the Covenant school defeated theDallas academy by 100 - 0.

And then came the drama, the winningteam was criticized for wining with such a huge margin and being notshowing any humility in the game. Its a sensitivity issue u see, besensitive towards your fellow looser, feel sorry for winning. Here ishow it was put in the article :

The private Christian school defeated Dallas Academy last week. Covenant was up 59-0 at halftime.

Aparent who attended the game told The Associated Press that Covenantcontinued to make 3-pointers -- even in the fourth quarter. She praisedthe Covenant players but said spectators and an assistant coach werecheering wildly as their team edged closer to 100 points.

"Ithink the bad judgment was in the full-court press and the 3-pointshots," said Renee Peloza, whose daughter plays for Dallas Academy. "Atsome point, they should have backed off."

Nowofficials from The Covenant School say they are trying to do the rightthing by seeking a forfeit and apologizing for the margin of victory.Covenant coach Micah Grimes did not immediately respond to a messageleft by The Associated Press on Thursday.

Queal said schoolofficials met with Dallas Academy officials to apologize and praised"each member of the Dallas Academy Varsity Girls Basketball team fortheir strength, composure and fortitude in a game in which they clearlyemerged the winner."

My immediate thought when I readthis article was that the world has gone completely wrong. Are weasking the winning team to apologize coz they won?? And the losersshould be one ones to forgive coz they are so high and mighty...traitsapparently bestowed by the devastating loss???

It is acompetition, one team wins one team looses. Rather than telling thewinning team to forfeit the match and apologize, how about taking totask the loosing team and its coach and see where they failed.

Iam sick of these people trying to make everything better for a looserrather than congratulating the winner. As children when we lostanything, we learnt from our losses, and that is what made thevictories even sweeter.

This sensitivity issues and the waythey are dealt with is getting to the point of being insane! or am Ibeing too critical? Should winners not be applauded and losers made tostrive to be winners? or should losers be applauded and winners chidedfor wining?

Seriously….I know that this is going to cause a backlash. But someone has to say something about the latest trend here on MS.

This was supposed to be a Review site, and yes it became more than that. It became a place where various people bonded, the comment section became a place for conversation. People Including myself took pride in booking the first place for comments, and even declaring that we would be back, getting the 1st, 50th, 51st position etc became a friendly contest.

Hell we even had complete conversations on the comment section, and to counter that MS introduced the diary feature, which only went on to strengthen MS as a social place for so many.

Then came in the latest trend, and yes I am also guilty to a certain extend…I did it once or twice, and realized what a fool I was. But some people don’t quit.

MULTIPLE comments, one after the other…three of four in a row….why coz each comment is worth 5 points….so commenting on a review 5 times is 25 points!! Even though all that you have said could have been done in one comment…..but no it’s not about reading rating and commenting anymore……Its about POINTS

Points that will buy more gifts, and in turn you can get more gifts…right?? Isn’t that what it is all about???

If all I wanted to say was ‘ hey this was a great review…yada yada yada…you got the gist of it perfectly…yada yada yada, I love ur way of writing etc etc…..’ in one comment it probably makes sense = 5 points!!

But some people in the pursuit of all mighty POINTS go

Comment 1 . hey this was a great review

Comment 2, you got the gist of it perfectly

Comment 3 . I love ur way of writing

= 15 points

Real Value = 0

I am not pointing fingers here….but do me a favour and don’t do that on my reviews or my dairy posts….. no more multiple comments one after the other…they make no sense and are beyond ANNOYING to me.

If you feel offended coz I point out what you do, then as a free human being you can go on and boycott my reviews……

But the truth stands, that no one is as dumb to think that you are being productive when you use 5 comment spaces when all your comment is worth just one space!

There are many things that we here in MS bond over.....Cities, Books, movies etc etc.

But there is one thing that we don't talk about enough....Music....

A lot of people bond on the basis of what kind of music they like, what they listen to etc. So I want to start of and would love to hear about

What Rocks your word!

I wrote my diary post, and it made me think, with the wedding fast approaching it is only fair that all my available time is dedicated to that.

No matter how much I love coming on MS and doing my share for each day, I find myself more and more unable to.

So for now, I bid you my friends adieu, its not a good bye, more a sabbatical, till my wedding (May25th !) and the craziness after has passed

I promise to drop in once a while, maybe say hi, but I hope to keep in touch atleast thru M2M.

I will miss you guys, hope you guys don’t forget me J

7:30am - *running* Please god let me know miss the train *huff* *puff* no no no …hold the door open….!!! Oh thank god!!!!! And I get to sit…man this day starting well!...zzzzzz

9:30pm -  back on the invitations, sneak into ms to read something ….hear mom say ‘beta you can do this after the work is done….abhi chalo lets finish this

Conclusion:

I would love to come on time on MS and read every single diary post and every single review that is written, I am unable to …..hmmmm that’s not so great now aint it!

Yup its true...I think I have completely lost it...and I need MS to bail me out on this........

Yesterday, I sat down at last, and wanted to thank all the sweet souls who had sent me gifts, by sending something back.....probabaly a BIG FAT HUG to thank them

But me being me, checked the checkbox next to the gift and read the Button at the bottom as reply...not Delete (The first 10-12 gifts....how many ever were displayed on the first page)

So I got click happy and lo and behold a message pops up "Your gifts have been sucessfully deleted"..................

oh noooooooooooo what have I done~~

What the hell....I smacked myself in the head and emailed MS support (first time since I  have joined MS) to please please please restore the gifts

They meant such a lot to me.....and I dont want to loose them..they are my tokens of love

And now all I can do is shed a tear!

Just coz I cannot seem to bring something to display here

The month of March has always been my favorite. Just coz it brings with it, the one day of the year that I most truly look forward too…..My Birthday!!!

Every year is special….coz I think I get better with age, and every birthday gives me the chance to proclaim I am a Year older (young at heart though!)

But this year is sooooooooo special…..Coz this is my final year as a Single Girl!!

Next year I will be married….as for now I am Single *engaged* and I am LOVING it!!!!!
