I was damn sure that London Paris New York would not be a good film. And by good I mean it would not be intellectual, touching or entertaining(at least). Because that’s how I judge films…they have to either make you think or make you feel or make you laugh…if you've got all three…you've got a fa...Read more

@pranay: I do realise it’s a musical. :) Th end for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara was incomplete too...but it was not confusing....here I felt it was....the average Indian movie viewer doesn't care about 'analysing' a movie (commercial movies and reviews of commercial movie are for the avg. movie viewer ...who sees cinema as entertainment and not as art) ...only people like you and I do....you've probably been exposed to better cinema (read: not just commercial cinema) for many years and hence you're in a position to analyse just like I can....and had the end been goody-goody with Ranbir singing for Nargis and she getting miraculously healed...and they having a happy marriage and 4-5 kids...that would've been a total disaster...I would've loathed such an ending. The current one, though confusing is better than a goody-goody one. :) Umm...reg. Jordan’s erratic behaviour...I agree with you that no one can explain the logic behind every action they take...even I can’t...but he’s erratic about his career, his love, his friends...everything and all the time. Anyway, that’s just what I feel. It’s a piece of art...so everyone is entitled to a different opinion. :) Reg. ’grown up on 3 idiots like sensibilities....narration of a story’...ouch...you seem to be judging me pal. :( Glad you liked the structure...I spent a good two years of my life writing movie reviews for a company...so I guess that learning comes in handy. :)
@akashdeep: I get what you mean mate. :) Sadly Mouthshut doesn’t have rating for ’scripting’ and ’editing’...I’d have given both a 2.Read More

I’ll start with a bias. I don’t like Ranbir Kapoor. Period. I don’t think he can act. Double period. But, post Rockstar I stand corrected. I think all he ever needed was a director to extract a brilliant performance. And who better would he choose than Imtiaz Ali?(Remember, he turned Kareena int...Read more

Cool...so the way I see, I should not spend more than Rs.70 for this movie. If I like it, I'm lucky to have seen a good film at a low price. If I don't, at least the loss is less. :)

Could've been more elaborate regarding the drawbacks of the institution. This reads more like a personal attack.

I’ll be honest that I did go to see Bol with a bias, towards director Shoiab Mansoor. Even before watching the movie I knew somewhere deep inside, that I was going find it dark, disturbing and moving.
Bol begins on a rather unusual note, with the protagonist narrating her life’s story to the ...Read more

Ah! One movie i'd been waiting to see. Not because Zoya is directing it, hell no one knew her before the announcement of this film. I wanted to see the oh-so-talented Farhan Akhtar meet his match in the equally oh-so-talented Konkona Sen Sharma. And its no surprise that he's done exceedingly wel...Read more

At the very outset, I thought Roadside Romeo would be this mediocre Indian animation film produced by Yashraj (who’ve almost stopped producing good films) and directed by Jugal Hansraj (who could never do anything in films ). Pathetic review. As Rohit put it rightly, its just too short. No analysis of characterisation, screenplay, music, locals, technicals......nothing at all. This is a joke of a review.

Via Darjeeling is an out and out experimental film. Never before have I seen such a story on the Hindi Motion Picture front.
