I just invested in Alto 800 CNG LXI. This after researching the other competitive models from Hyundai, Renault and Tata. The engine of the Alto is more refined as it is being developed for more than ten years now. It is peppy and responsive to the paddle. But you may have to switch off the...Read more

I have had a bullet electra since its launch in 2001. I purchased a bullet standard 500 last year. Bullets are not for racing. They are for a comfortably paced ride. These machines have good torque and tall gears. You can very comfortably cruise ibn these bikes at about 80-90km per hour. I have visi...ted the treacherous lahaul-spiti valleys on bullet Electra, and have observed these bikes can easily take the extreme abuse those regions offer. Now again, our group is going am a leh-laddakh ride, and we are not allowing a friend with Harley Davidson to accompany us since we are not sure it will take the server beatings of the off roading we are planning to do in the trip! But if you do Chandigarh Delhi ride, Harley will reach Chandigarh a day before bullet does! It's that fast and stable on uniform road. I differ on the premise that bullets are nothing but iron junks! I am riding a bullet for almost fifteen years now, and i have derived lots if riding pleasure from it. There have been times when i have come home after a long day at work, and have taken bullet for a serene thumping ride to rejuvenate myself. With age,i have understood that all vehicles are good. It's the way you handle them and they serve you. The vehicle you own is the best vehicle. Period.Read More

I already own an iPhone 6. Can you suggest if buying a note4 as a back up option will be a good decision? I was thinking of note 5, but its way too costly. Then it doesn't have removable battery, and lacks storage extension.

You are absolutely right. The biggest problem with efi is that it won't start without battery. Not even with pushing. Battery is needed for spark. The best bet is standard 500. I have had an electra 2001 for fourteen years now. It has never given me any problems. Its easy to maintain. I was on a t...rip to the lahaul-spiti valleys where one bullet thunderbird 500 would not start. We killed like hundred times. We opened up the bike and checked all the cables. But in vain. Ultimately we had too carry it from manikaran to manali in a truck. There, after a day full of checking, they diagnosed that a small wire had got disconnected. The other day, I left the parking lights of my car( toyota innova) on. The next day it won't start. I got hold of a few men and they kept on pushing. Ultimately, the mechanic told me that these efi vehicles need current to start. No battery means no current to the engine. I don't say the technology is waste. Just that you will be in a fix if your bike stops responding while you are in the wild riding your bullet. Even the royal enfield walas say standard is better( off the record, though)Read More
