Jerry is right in expressing his hurt feelings. He has spent a fortune on the two AC's and ultimately due to faulty authorised service centres ( this is a hoax- who ever applies for it gets it and keeps representing the company whether he follows the norms or not ). Jerry is right in saying the same... ASC fellows keep installing and servicing all machines and they think they are masters of all AC's. It is not only with Hitachi. I too had similar experience like you, when I first took the delivery of my new Honda Activa on 18th June 2009. Till date I have never had problems with this vehicle. What I notice is that the milege is low though I did not check the actual milege. It appears Honda Activa gives any where between 35 ...to 40 KM/Litre and not more. Engine is smooth and the ride is comfortable.

I was also of the opinion that being a subsidiary of a strong Nationalised Bank there will not be any hidden charges or manipulation by SBI Cards. Well my impressions were grounded soon by SBI Card and it is no better than other credit card Companies. I closed the card immediately without any balanc...e payments . yet SBI Cards has not deleted my name from the list and continued to send monthly statements and yearly subscription charges along with the interest. I took up strongly with Banking Ombudsman and it is only after my strong protests have they stopped sending me the monthly statements as well as yearly subscription charges with interest. My strong suggestion is that don't use credit cards indicriminately . Use only when there is an urgent need and close the payments immediately after coming home. Otherwise the innocent public will be subject to harassment by these credit card companies.Read More

It is surprising that you got 90km with 0.8 litres of petrol using new Honda activa. My experience is just the opposite. My vehicle which was bought on 18th June and has run 102 KM has consumed more than 3 litres of petrol. I need to check up with the workshop on this.

I have bought the 'NEW ACTIVA' a week ago ( 18th June'2009). It may be too premature for me to discuss about the vehicle. However what I had noticed about the vehicle is that it is 'simply superb' compared to all other scooters , since I have been using a scooter right from 1970 ( changing from old ...lambretta, Bajaj-150, Lamby, Baja Chetak., Kinetic-4S etc ). I should say confidently that New Honda Activa has smooth engine with practically no noise of running, excellent pick up, better road grip, easy manoverability, practically no vibrations, easy to put the centre stand, good horn etc. It is no doubt that 'Honda Activa' is an engineering marvel and hence there is great demand for this vehicle all over India. I wish the manufacturers of Honda Activa the very best in bringing out more Engineering marvels in the scooter Industry..Read More
