My sympathies. Home Town manages to get away with the shabby products. There are millions of people in NOIDA and NCR area, so they can always target new ''Murgas'' every few months. I do not even step into the Home town outlet in TGIP any more.

This is very normal for Home Town. PLease see the emails I have mentioned in my previous post on Mouth Shut. Write to all those people. It worked for me. Home Town refunded money for one item and recitifed the deficiences for the other.
Good luck.

Home Town sells with an intention to cheat customers. They do not fulfill the promises they make to customers at the time of taking money. The customer service is pathetic. The people managing the stores are rude and indifferent.

This is a regular feature of Home Town. There order fulfilment process has been in shambles and no improvement has happened over last one year. Their managers in the store are very ill mannered.

This just seems to be a Tanishq posted comment for marketing advantage in the garb of customer reviews.

Dear Bhuvana,
The issue was not on cheating regarding the purity of the gold, but on the misrepresentations and attempt at hiding the price and trying to con the customer into a purchase. The second issue whch is really serious is about that their pricing strategy also seems to be (In this case, w...ith my limited experience) designed to con customers. By the way the diamond based jewellery comes in 18 Karat and this was correctly told to me by the Sales rep.

Dear Kris, Thanks for your comments, but please do look into the issue of pricing which I have written in my e-mail. The pricing decision is of the corporate managers and not the salesman. Just to set the record right, A pendat costed 13,900/- and a pair of earrings (30-40% smaller in size, but iden...tical otherwise) costed 29,000/- i.e. 14,500 per piece! Isn't Tanishq's pricing strategy designed to cheat gullible customers. may be their product management team at corporate headquarters is also bugged with the newness of the Retail concept and do remember Tanishq is a 10 year old brand.
Thanks for getting this debate initiated.
