Akshaya January is a perfect example of how a project that had to be completed in 2013 but still not completed (2017), how management lies to cover up & compensation being denied for one making sided agreement, over & above not so good quality construction. opinion is on petrol, may be you are frustrated with diesel. Agreed. But I couldn't find any useful information other than your opinion.

Not sure how you had less than 500 on a day's expenditure? Is it because all 9 people shared the room rent and food? If yes, then I would agree.
However, when we'd been there, I'd shell 900 rs a day only on the room rent which was quite decent for 2 people. We stayed in Kings Park next to Mathura..., quite near to Hotel Yelagiri. We spent about 200 to 250 per head on a day for food.
Besides all the above fact, I still love to go over there. As you said, the land is fertile, enjoy the nature's sound, not polluted, cut off from busy city life. Bottom line...an ideal place to get away from a busy city life.

knome. Both are fruits & trying to compare apples & oranges. Select what you like, based on your needs.
Merc & biodiesels are classic technological advancements that are better than petrol engines and have less pollution. They are right!!!

however like to have few opinions on the conclusions...
2. Diesel has less acceleration but more top speed - This will change as technology progresses.
3. Diesel cars require more maintenance - This is a myth. Common rails and direct injections have changed this

an Indica petrol & diesel version for which costs are almost the same, or may be few grands of difference.
Now when I do that, I always go based on the usage. Believe me it always works!!!. Buy a car always based on the needs & living style. Never buy just for the sake of popularity.
Someone r...ightly said, if you plan to keep running your car for miles & miles, then don't think, go for the diesel.
However, with the modern technologies, I would slightly disagree, but on the cost terms, I wouldn't compare Indica with any other car. Its a class of its own. A indegeniously designed Indian car for Indian people for the Indian roads. May be fully patriotic???
