and welcome to Mouthshut. It seems like an interesting book and all those reading your review would have been more informative had you covered more details and also said more about what you feel about it. I'm sure you'll get the hang of writing reviews as you write more. All the best! Regards..., TiCRead More

I've no idea what you do for a living but reading this review makes me think you'd be an excellent book critic..mebbe you should seriously consider it! ;-) Reg the book, I've not read it but have got mixed reactions, ranging from 'Fountainheadistic' to 'eminently avoidable' with more voices tethe...ring towards the latter view. If the tidbits of dialogue from the book you enlightened us with are any indication, Mr. Robin Sharma would be better off polishing his verbal artistry on MS to start off with ;-) Way to go, ma'am. Guess I gotta catch up with your previous reviews. Regards, TiCRead More

Nice to see you here again...didnt know you had written a review till Lalya pointed it out. I was always a fan of Lester Piggot...and Pesi Shroff back home. Sigh..I still long for the strong worded thoughtful reviews you used to write...any intention of obliging us in the near future? Regar...ds, TiCRead More

Thats an interesting topic to pick for a debut review and you've done full justice to it. Sometime in the 50's/60's Dharam Paaji was voted by an Int'l mag as one of the 10 most handsome people in the world...thats saying something! Good choices there...am of the firm belief that preferences/ch...oices always vary from one person to another and though I was a bit surprised by NS at #1, you must have had valid reasons for seating him there ;-) Good show...keep it up. Nice to catch up on your review after eons..not your fault though, I was on a long sabbatical ;-) I've heard a lot of things about Iqara (good things!). Our local cable guy installed something called 'Pacenet' and its going great guns..only problem being their Customer Service (both online and ph...one service). A neat and precise review as always...very much informative and clinically to the point. Not a word more, not a word less. Good to see you still around..enjoyed reading your review as always. Regards, Cheeky PS: When did you shift to Baroda? I thought you were still around Mumbai..Read More

It was nice knowing your opinion on this book but it will help someone reading it if you cover more aspects of the book. A good book review should be tempting enough to make the reader run to the nearest book store to get the book and diplomatic enough not to give away the whole story and spoil the ...fun. Since you're still new here, I suggest you read some reviews around (there are a lot of excellent writers around). That will stand you in good stead when writing your next review. As regards the book, this was his first book and no doubt, the best he's ever written. As for the review, it's a very good first effort . I'll look forward to a vastly improved review from you the next time ;-) All the best. Regards, CheekyRead More

The name TATA stands for Quality, Integrity, Dependability and Value for money! To state that it was the front runner of India's Industrialisation would not be entirely wrong. However, I feel it's heading for an legacy issue after Ratan Tata..will be interesting to see what happens then. G...ood review overall...you've covered all aspects. good job! While on a flight recently, I was going through the In-flight mag and found a collection of JRD's correspondence...they simply crackle in wit and humour! Would make for a collectors item if a compilation is done. Regards, TiCRead More

Try as much as I could, i could never get to write anything sensible on this topic (i wrote something irrelevant once). While I thought you were in 'Narration' mode in the first half, I'm glad that you gave a lot of creative inputs in the latter half. One sincere advice though and I used to t...ell this to Karan as well..a good writer should do justice to the topic within the prescribed limitation (in this case, No. of words). Writing 10 pages is very easy but writing 1 page is extremely difficult. Spilling a review into the comments section takes away the interest of the reader as there tends to be a lack in continuity. Hope you remember that and implement it fomr the next review onwards. Regards, TiCRead More

Great work! If i were to write a review on this topic today, your name would be in it for sure. ZYour review which made a deep impression on me was 'Changing Face of Cinegoer'...I was initially stumped by the topic but when I read the review, I was floored! Had decided then not to miss a single r...eview of yours but a lot of factors conspired to rob me of that privelege ;-) great going buddy...keep writing. Regards, SujayRead More

At the outset, Congrats on cracking a ton on MS! Having seen you right from your infancy days here, its a great milestone and I'm glad you've persevered through it to give us some real good gems. Sachin...what can one say about him? He's all that you say and more. What strikes me about him is tha...t hes one of those rare role models who has not put a foot wrong in being a prime example to all those who follow him (save for the Ferrari episode). His modest middle-class upbringing has no doubt made him the mature and respnsible person as we see him today. Great review...though I can't help remarking that it sounds a bit monotonic and somewhere...lacks the personal touch which I find in most of your reviews...that's not to take away from the merits of this review in any way! Just a thought in the passing... Regards, TiCRead More

..since i read your last review. The same judicious use of language, the same thought process and incisive analysis...all hallmarks of one who relishes the books he reads. Wish i was like you at your age! My only complaint still remains..the length of the rev..always remember - justice is not don...e to a topic only by writing a long rev...a shorter one will be just as effective. Just one more thing..have you finished compiling the 'Thesaurus' you were working on in the vacations?Read More
