Lot of GS150 owners are having complains about rusting of fuel tank and frame.Who would want to own a bike with such quality issues? But I see so many good comments on the performance and mileage. So if Suzuki addresses this issue and do good sales promotion, then this bike could be a leader in the ...150cc segment.Read More

Hi Raja,
If you are not concerned about the mileage, then why do you want to stick to 125cc? If you have to travel a lot daily, i suggest that you go for a 150cc bike because of better riding comfort and better performance.Trust me on this, if you start riding 150cc, you will never feel to go back ...to 125cc...also you have a 125cc bike already. As far as reliability is concerned, Honda is a good choice

I have a unicorn 2nd gen - done 23k, I haven’t faced any problems while riding in rain. Regarding smoothness - please do take a test ride before buying any bike, dont go for any bike based on someone’s opinion. After test ride, if you feel that the bike is smoother than all bikes, what do you care a...bout the smoothness of the older unicorns? After sales service is not so good when compared to HH;but depends on dealer to dealer .The gear shift is smooth and the engine is very reliable in my bike, not sure about the newer versions though.Read More

The build quality seems so low; this bike will 'rust in peace' until Suzuki doesn't do something about it soon.

The big meaty tyres of the bike has reduced the mileage drastically.Anyways you could improve on the mileage and pickup by installing a k&n filter on the bike. Many models like R1060,R1100 and RC1060 are available in the market. The most commonly used is the RC1060 conical air filter. The sound of the ...bike will increase but mileage and overall performance will also increase.RC1060 costs approx Rs.1500/-Read More

K & N filters give more mileage and pickup to the vehicle.Models RC-1060, R-1100 and RU-3750 are available for bikes. The most commonly used model for bikes is the RC-1060 conical filter.Installation of the filter unit takes approx 5 mins.My friend has installed one on his P200. There is an increase... in the engine sound, a booming sound and there is marked difference in
the pickup and mileage. But I heard that if you do not tune the engine specifically for this filter, then the engine life will be reduced.Read More

As Shenoy has rightly pointed out, a test ride is a must before buying a bike-make sure to check out Suzuki GSR150 also,i felt it is as comfy as the Uni

Rajesh,
As you would be knowing, RTR is 180 cc and obviously more powerful than Uni.Also it's headlamps are more powerful than the Uni's.It is lighter than Uni and so acceleration is greater than Uni (acceleration is directly proportional to the power/weight ratio) .
Not sure of how reliable R...TR is, but I can assure u that Uni is very reliable, you could almost ignore the bike and expect good performance from it-its a tough bike.Mileage depends on your riding habits, if you ride within 55kmph you will get mileage of 55+ kmpl on uni.In this regard RTR figures will be much lower.Uni will give u a more comfortable ride than RTR - riding position wont give back pains. As far as styling is concerned, its all up to you, good luck!!Read More

Unicorn features a diamond frame which is the standard design for most motorcycles, and has been for many years, since it replaced the cross frame. It is one of the most nearly perfect pieces of design known, due to the extreme amount of refinement it has undergone.Be it commuter vehicles or racing m...achines or choppers, the engine which is mounted on the frame doesnt take loads or shocks directly on it but through the frame.
As you correctly pointed out, the engine being mounted on the frame becomes a stressed member though it does not take any impact directly. But it is unlikely that the diamond frame will ever be surpassed as a way to build a rigid-frame motorcycle, using joined tubes as a construction medium.
