Dear Babu, ABS isn;t Automatic Brake Control System but AntiLock braking system. This in tandem with EBD will help you stop in slippery surfaces. I would suggest you look again at Linea with a different dealer. Good Luck

Jagsing you made a right choice. Suspension is hard as this is thorough rally bred machine and this helps you very high speed handling where others chicken out. By now gearbox should be smooth. Agreed HM is not promoting such a beautiful machine, too bad.

Galivety.. you felt verna is faster (or you feel so due to it’s handling) but where's the rest, of course all roads aren't runways always. Cedia handles extremely well and that is rewarding. It is a true driver's car. I'm surprised how come you only checked the acceleration and nothing else. Did y...ou try throwing verna around corners or braking @ pretty high speeds you'll understand what this all means. You wrote : I took off on an empty road where there is a possibility of touching 150km. But I was little irritated to see that the vehicle just touched 90km at the end of 1km! of course I could have stepped on the pedal even more but the engine was already roaring at 90km! The executive who accompanied me revealed that the engine is just MPFI and not a turbo charged. Then what is the use of having a car with 2000CC engine costing at 10 Lakh? You mentioned that it could only do 90km/hr in a 1km stretch, Hey even an omni can touch 100km/h in 1km stretch. Did you really push hard?? I'm surprised. BTW what gear were you in so engine roared @ 90kmph? Executive has given you BS, what does it mean by it’s MPFI and not Turbo Charged. Dude.. 2000cc @ 10 lakhs is not for sheer performance and it includes lot more features which make it safer. If you look for only performance why didn’t you test it’s suspension? why didn’t you test it’s cornering abilities? Did you try it on rough patches? I doubt so. I will not agree to your claim that @ the end of 1km stretch you attained only 90kmph. This gives me an inkling that you never ever tried to test it’s potential and misled your friend. Also understood that not all drive for 3 lakh kilometres.. but I have personally seen among my own circle cars done 1.5 lakh plus. So it matters. Read More

If it's bullet then yes I can't stand the iron granny and riding it has always been a yawn for me. My ride is presently a modded RD350 and RoadKing, and as far as my age is conc...erned I'm atleast more senior and mature and 'been there and done that'. Rode RZ350 YPVS, (had a '86 bullet for a while) and later a CB900. Remember I have been riding and owning RD350 since 1995, so figure out dude and hope you still accept the trivia of mine. So your 5 years of riding experience of bullets can make you scream so much...oops! . I never praised Pulsar but just made u realise that another stoopid bike can also make it to places like Manali(even Kinetic honda made it). BTW you seem to scream quite a bit( I asume u know that's what it means if you use caps), learn to learn and just not whip around with your meagre 5 years experience of some rattly junk.Read More

To Male Magic : You wrote : The decision to own a bullet is like deciding to own a Bentley or a Rolls Royce. I disagree.. owning a bullet isn't equal to owning Rolls.. look@ sophistication Rolls and bentley offer and bullets are pure wraught iron. You wrote : Bullet is exported to the UK..., US and to Japan not because it’s a performance bike but because it has a special value as a legendary antique bike that is still being manufactured. It falls in a segment similar to the Triumph. I think it's purely bought for antique value and legendary tag what Enfiled carries. But speak to an Enfiled owner and he brags a lot abt performance. Talk about this when Enfield owners felt they could catch up with CB900four! Pity those who just don't get out of the spell of old witch..:-). Look at triumph today and the line up of models and talk of Enfiled here.. Bullets are only good for small rides, but for long oof where's F650.Read More

trendzy2010 : You have commented about my riding blindly. When you were in nappies I was riding CB900F Bangalore to Goa and by your comment you look like you never made an attempt to ride even 2 kms in a day. BTW whats your ride? a 4stroke pulsar to boost your ego??? Listen _ It's just that enfie...ld groups ride upto manali and this just doesn't prove that 50 year old granny technology is better. Any good bike can do it. If you know two Pulsars have made it to manali without trouble, and also travelled extensively across India. So buckle up pal. Yezdi Roadking holds the world record for travelling across the world in shortest period. Where's your bullet? Only seen in Manali just coz some foreigner rode it few years ago now all are enamoured to buy grannies, form silly clubs and ride @40 kmph to everywhere. if your friend rode to Manali it's his endurance and not the bike. If you know a Kinteic Honda was @ Rohtang Pass( with pillion) need I say more. I partly agree with male magic but not with bullet riders who assume it to be ultimate nirvana. I think you need to get put and ride an RD 350 to realise what biking is and not farting in between rattling thumps of yo'ole granny.Read More

You can also alternatively consider Panasonic plasma pv8 or Sammy 410. Both are 40' and very good with SD inputs and excel in HD ready.Read More

To getsreeji : Coz u need to feed the signal equal or higher to native resolution of LCD panel. Also 90% of channels are 4:3 format and flat screens are 16:9 and the strech causes the loss of clarity. There is some upscaling done by LCD's but isn't very good. Wait for the day when broadcast goes ...digital and we have HD format.Read More

For deepakthegreat : buying full HD @ 32' makes absolutely no sense. 1920*1080p makes diffrence only 46' and above. For newtvontheway : Plasmas were never meant to be in 32' category. they are better off 40' and higher. i would concentrate on the LCD panel and specifications than 50 free DV...D's thrown in. Contrast ratios are like PMPO in boom boxes and they are ever increasing in thousands. A 5000:1 contrast ratio would mean that a full white pixel is 5000 times brighter than a perfectly black pixel. how would you measure against specifications. Just ignore the manufacturer's contrast level claims and focus instead on how a TV looks to your eyes. Read More

Wanted Reviews on Sony Bravia LCD Tv

Oct 08, 2008 04:49 PM

Watch Out!! Which SONY series are you talking about??? What size?? I prefer SAMSUNG over sony as SONY uses Samsung panels and just adds BRAVIA engine to sell @ higher prices and sony customer care is terrible.. if it's SONY then try X series or else look for something else.

Acer_007 Verna most definetely looks like a soap box to me??? NHC is equally uninspiring design. I have driven Verna to a large extent and found diesel to be really good, but not my cup of tea when it comes to styling...

Hi, I too own a Road King. Haven’t been riding from quite some time, but have spent my best student years on it. Off mufflers and roars like a thunder...Have grafted RX100 clutch assembly, so clutch is more sticky and smooth..90/100 lighting. A real man's bike.

Tucson isn't very expensive to maintain.. I would say as much as a ford. But costs as much as a new Scorp, so gotta think. BTW I wouldn't go for new Scorp Hawk series, There is an intermediate model @7.8 Lakhs which has all features I need.... or a tucson with ABS, Airbags, auto 4wd.. aarrgh I ne...ed to think sensibly here..Read More

Hi Selson I’m Mohan. Colour is going to be Silver, but wifey says Scorp is better as I travel to jungles too often. I’m a mud slinger. As of now my bro’s Bolero does the job. But I too need to have one SUV...I’m in a fix and top it all Mahindra has reduced prices.. too tempting. To further compli...cate matters my close friend is selling a neat Tucson @ very good price( for me;-) ). wants me to pick it up. Hardly run 25k..... This is tough. :-) Nice to know u are going in for Sxi. Platinum is a very neutral and beautiful colour. So what does your Fiat get??Read More

Selson you are right A pillar is an issue esp when you are navigating car through cross roads and rear view while reversing is also an issue (same as ikon). So for Amol probably reversing won't be much of a problem :-). I agree plastic is an issue with all Maruti cars including new Grand vitara. C'm...on Maruti give us what HM used in Lancer. But I feel SX4 offers a lot for price, so it's a fair deal.Read More

Amol.. I agree ikon 1.6 is a good machine, but Ford in a greed to sqeeze last penny out of it's ikon investment released Flair. Flair is just in name and no longer the Josh machine. 1.3 engine is too meek to move pebbles. Talk of discounts and desperate to sell old stock. I have driven Mondeo over 3...000 kms on several long trips. It is one hell of a sports car in sedan guise with solid built. As far as comparo between Ikon 1.6 and SX4. These two are entirely diffrent and SX4 is more modern (atleast features wise). SX4 has greater ground clearance and superior suspension and ofcourse makes you forget the expensive Ford spares woes.Read More
