@srvand - I nearly died of Action overdose from Pirates, Transformers and Matrix before them. And sorry I am not a groupie like you that I must like any junk Spielberg puts out. If you like it, good for you. Then again, studies have shown that at lower IQ's you need action to keep you entertained, w...hich says more about you than my review. There's a book out there that says IQ can go up with practice, you should buy it ;p. Peace.Read More

There's the saying that if hammer is the only tool you own, every problem looks like a nail. Mr. Spielberg and Mr. Jackson know action. They can't make a movie where the plot is defined by ingenuity of a young reporter and ingenuity and resourcefulness is what fixes the problems. The movie re...Read more

Formal protest - II

Sep 26, 2008 06:55 PM

Agree to Disagree First, I have deep respect for Sudipto's sentiments. I believe he is sincere. That having said, I do not believe sincerity is enough to make a SOUND point. I disagree with all of his positions on this issue. Following are my reasons: - I think we HONOR OUR NATION when we... put our flag as an item we can gift, share, give, etc. It shows the Tricolour is something that is on our mind. It reminds me of our common heritage. - Getting all sentimental about what other images are right next to the Tricolor - come on. It just sounds very puritanical as in Taliban are puritanical Muslims, American evangelicals are puritanical christians, etc. This world seeks more tolerant muslims and more tolerant christians and they exist. Thank God the puritanical codes of either of these are not the only way to do things in their faith. I hope the same will be deemed true on the Tricolor. - Part of me is tempted to say MS should just fix this issue and move on otherwise people with nothing better to do will distract us from more important issues (AND BELIEVE ME PATRIOTIC INDIANS, THERE ARE MORE IMPORTANT ISSUES YOU AND I PASS EVERY DAY ALL THE TIME). What I am afraid of though is doing this will give the right to every other puritanical guy with too much time on his hands to start imposing other jingotic thoughts on this community and other communities. So I don't know what the right thing to do is. In the Book of Proverbs Solomon says ''With all thy getting, get understanding.'' I don't know that I can convince anyone of my ideas on this but it's important that it be stated that there IS A COUNTERPOINT to Sudipto's well-meaning point. We are a great nation when we can state our points of view and peacefully agree to disagree.Read More

Point Taken You make a good point, I COMPLETELY agree. I will write about the joke that individual rights in China are. But that's a topic for another day. I am blessed evrey day I live in India. But that doesn't improve the tree facts I pointed to. Can someone address those?

My attempts to reach Google India

Jul 12, 2008 07:19 PM (Updated Jul 12, 2008 07:25 PM)

JUST ANOTHER COMPANY Lately the mightly Google has been looking more and more like just another company. Warts and all. Your posting simply highlights this point. Read this recent article in NY Times on Google’s mess with daycare for employees: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/05/business/05noce...ra.html That having said, I hink MR. Rao seems to be asleep at the wheels. An acquaintance of mine told me Rao is cocky. I have a feeling these qualities won’t serve him well in a country where respect is a big thing. A few years back yahoo had sent a joker name mewawala as india head and he made a fool of himself with his arrogant nature. He got shipped back to Silicon Valley rather quickly.Read More

Unveiling MouthShut Mobile

Amazing! I am delighted! This is absolutely fantastic. I am going to test it with a real question I have. I want to know from my MouthShut Bandhus any recommendation for a Bollywood movie I can give to an American friend ( I am buying a DVD). On such quick issues, this SMS feature is going to be mag...ical. Veekey yar, you’re being unnecessarily down about this. I think quick messages will have their own use. Chintu, I have used other SMS based services in the US. Take it from me, this is a breakthrough. I am in India for a few weeks and I cannot tell you how thrilled I am. Give me some time, I will answer the questions from my experience. Way to go MouthShut!Read More

Paid review sites are less useful for consumers than where people are reviewing as a volunatry activity. Frankly, I wouldn't trust a site and the reviews of those who were doing it to get paid. I don't think MouthShut is supposed to be a source of livelihood for its reviewers. It is based on the PAS...SION of the people who write here. Godo news and bad news - as long as it is authentic - makes more sense than stuff that is from hands of mercenaries. I actually celebrated when MS stopped paying for points. It's the only authentic forum on all things Indian that I trust. Many have come and gone over the years. MouthShut has been my shining beacon.Read More

I love your review and I hate T-Mobile. I wasted 2 yrs with them. When I asked them to let me cancel because their service was bad, they charged me $175. Those are the very last $175 they will EVER get from me. And I can safely say I HATE T-MOBILE. Try Verizon. Calls never drop. They're good.

If you ever lose your daytime job you could always write movie reviews. Great job man, I loved it and you have convinced me to watch this movie now. I was in Cannes (coincidently) and they got serious attention there.

I tip my turban Bhai wah! This is incredible. Kya clean site. Clean and user-friendly. I am charmed. Alfred Lord Tennyson said: Ring out the old, ring in the new. I think the prior MS homepage needed a makeover. And you have provided just that. Very timely. Mouthshut is ONE Indian web off...ering that constantly renews itself and keeps up with the changing trends in the web world. Little wonder therefore that it is one of Bharat's best known sites. The thing I most appreciate is throuhg all the changes you keep the mouthshut members as most important. I think the new design takes that to a new level. Congratulations to you. But more importantly ''shubh'' wishes to mouthshut members who are behind this site. Something that impressed me even more than all the color and design - it is the speed of Mouthshut. it flies. Udan khatola. Faisal Saab, let me tip my hat, errr...my pagdee to you.Read More
