~~~I am a fan of Anwesha~~~
Posted on Oct 27, 2009 under General
Do you want to know why I am a fan of Anwesha? The song of Ami Je Tomar was so difficult to sing and I was simply overwhelmed by the way the little girl completes the song on stage, the finale of Star Plus in last year or so. It was simply great! I did watch it the same day when it was aired…but when I heard it again while browsing…wow!! It still rocks. I am yet to find a better onstage presentation than this!
This girl simply oversteps all expectations of excellence. When she sing the song for competitions the final part was not that convincing… but when the girl give the 100%...I am left with no words but admiration and praise. Except for a small space where she give a simple smile to Pritam where the tune has gone a bit short (which in fact confirmed that it is not a recroded song….) the song was perfect in all respect…
This video simply made two days already. No wonder, the video is just reaching a viewer number of 500000!!!
I am now a fan of Anwesha the princess of talent!!!
She sells sea shells in the sea shore...
I am sure you must have heard this tongue twister. Why don't share more of them so that we can tease the children and if possible to test our own twisting skills of our tongue?
I will add few of those twisters known to me in comment columns...btw you too can add...and in any given date, you can check the link and you will have hundreds of them...and can I say hundred may be a small number?
Hindi, Tamil, English, Japanese...no worries...
Today & Tomorrow
Posted on Feb 26, 2009 under Daily Thoughts
It is late night already.
My eyelids are hurrying me to stop staring to computer screen.
The day left only few minuets and I have to leave the space and give wayfor sleeping.
I am feeling sad for the day where it was quite a rich day indeed.
Had the day didn't died at all??
Oh…no……
I can hear the sound of a crying baby from the safe belly of time.
Tomorrow…the baby is all excited to born with all its curiosity and brightness.
Yes, tomorrow is a brand new day…
Why not let me say a happy good bye to today and prepare myself to welcome tomorrow with a smile?
For today, it is part of my life in the world and I cannot part with it anymore…
Let me say good night to one and all…
For today too…
Agree or disagree??
Posted on Feb 08, 2009 under Daily Thoughts
Most (or all) countries in the world are run by the inefficient administrators. They reached those top posts not based on merit, talent, values or skill but because they belong to a royal family, they belong to a famous parent or supported by a good financier. Some of them reach there by using brutal force with bad but efficient brain. People who fancy political power resort to stick to the ladder and do every trick in the book to reach to the top. Once fail, they settle with the stand they are in and start eating the steps of the ladder.
Most (or all) of our world's religions are run by people who didn't conceived the values of the religion as planned in its beginning or they are inefficient to lead the religion and its people in those values to the goals. Every day they have to do a preaching, which they prepare. They fail to test themselves to what God really demand from them.
When politics lack leadership with vision, the country and its people suffer. Who will fill the vacuum of leadership? When the wise choose to stay away, the ignorant find it easy to reach on top. To protect the chair of power they are determined to do whatever they can.
When the religion lacks leadership with mission the religion and people who believe it's principles suffer. Who will fill the vacuum? When wise don't prevail, rich will takeover. Manipulators will be happy to 'serve'. The insecure politicians –they too find it is a great masala and try their luck.
The result? Countries are run by politically ignorant and religions by religiously 'illiterate'. This in turn keeps the poor as poor, rich as rich. Majority remain in poverty and illiteracy, lacking the physical resources, emotional support and spiritual satisfaction to live in prosperity, harmony and peace.
I think the real problem many of our nations face is not poverty or illiteracy but lack of proper leadership in nations and religions. (Poverty and illiteracy are only symptoms) Therefore the cure to the alarming need of the hour is to make leaders who can make things happen with a long vision and understanding.
How far you agree with this post? Or do we have some other disease which needsthe cure first?
Mouthshut Diary Awards 2008 - Nominations invited
Posted on Jan 12, 2009 under Mouthshut Competitions
There is no doubt that 2008 will be remembered as the mosthappening year for mouthshut so far. A lot of features are added. Diaries, Photos, SMS reviews, Corporate blogs, Mouthshut local...When welook back, which is the best added feature? We cannot single out one where each one has its own set offollowers. The diary feature alreadyproved its need and many active members shown us that this feature can be usedto express thoughts with much liberty. Poetry, competitions, quiz, birthdays, opinions, worries, breaking news,Chat show…the diary feature already witnessed a lot of happenings. It was also accused of taking away theimportance of reviews. However, it hasproved that it can co-exist with the review feature where there is a safe distancebetween the two. The way the diaries are written in 2009 thereis no doubt that the future is bright.
Now to the post - this is just an announcement of myintention to appreciate the diary writers of Mouthshut. I have read many of the diaries, but asone can assume, not all. Again, many of the diaries must have forgottenby me. I am sure many of you will excusemy 40 plus year old memory. So, myrequest to you at this stage is to refresh our memories by giving the notablediaries.
If you have written a diary and wish to consider any of yourdiary posts for the awards, please mention it in the comment column. (You can send an M2M as well).
If you feel so and so's diary on the subject worth a praise,you can mention it here as well. If youcan give the link, that will be wonderful. Otherwise, give the correct id name and the post name without any chancefor ambiguity.
Categories: As of nownot yet finalized. So feel free tosuggest any number categories as you feel good. I cannot guarantee inclusion of all, but promise I will try my levelbest to include the maximum number of categories.
In any case there will be at least 6 categories:
1. Best Diary
2. Best Diary Writer
3. Best Diary with comic touch.
4. Best Poem
5. Best Diary which prompted a healthy discussion
6. Best Diary with personal touch.
Preferably suggest original posts. (The award committee may make its own research on the categories and even posts which are not suggested may be considered for the awards).
Please note that there is nothing official about this competition and the decision by the award committee will be final and binding. Don't expect big prizeswhere the award committee is running short of funds (read MS points).
So friends, refresh your memories and suggest qualitydiaries and creative categories….
Tryto give the suggestions before Friday (16/01/09, 5 pm).
