Thank you for your review Bren, I second your opinion. I have had the good fortune to buy a good example second hand recently. Then I had it refurbished by my mechanic to almost new condition. I was so pleasantly surprised with the result. Now I understand why those who have owned it from new are r...eluctant to part with it. It has a smooth, silent and powerful personality which have formed the base of the Discover brand. Unfortunately the mad craze to get more and more economy and profit for the manufacturer meant that this beautiful product was cut short. At least now the manufacturer should try to bring back the simplicity and elegance of the 2007 model.Read More

I have a friend who owns this bike from late 2006. He says that he loves his bike despite some niggles and does not want to sell or upgrade. He says it is a pulsar engine on a smaller compact discover frame which gives it phenomenal grunt and has stood the test of time.

I feel you might get more satisfaction if you were to exchange this with the scooty zest 110.

Thanks for your good review of the Apache 180. I am sure a lot of young people as well as those young at heart will get the go ahead to purchase the bike of their dreams. The latest iteration, the 200cc 4 V just takes the whole game forward. I think TVS shares too are a good buy.

I am glad you used the word 'Monster' to describe this bike. There is another manufacturer called Ducati, who actually have a model range starting with the word Monster. So it is very flattering to hear this for our Indian product.

I presume you are referring to the RTR 160. They have the 180 as well as the recently launched 200 4V which is the best RTR till date. I sometimes wonder when the Indian buyers will wake up and capture this thrilling 200cc machine.

It seems like TVS has built a bike on the Yamaha concepts and done pretty decent job and that too at an attractive price. The 200cc 4V takes the concept even further. This is true import substitution which makes Indians feel proud. Quality is top notch too!

Yamaha is one of the top technology companies who have their own Research and Development. You can buy any model from their product range and never go wrong.

We are indeed fortunate to be able to experience the Yamaha brand magic. Enjoy your ride ! Their other products are very good too, including the scooters.

The just introduced four valve 200cc is really the top of the pops. It will even give the Himalayan and Mojo a run for their money. The simple carbureted model without ABS and with Remora tyres is the one to buy.

I test drove the diesel variant and was equally impressed. Although some diesel clatter filtered in the cabin, it was music to my ears. If you want total silence in a diesel, you need the Grand i10 from Hyundai. Better clearance too. If parking space is not an issue the Etios liva is tops.
