I completely agree with what u said... like Javeed Ahmed said there are too many loop holes in presenting the facts...it would be better if the director concentrates more on imp issues like girl education and their welfare rather than dealing with the customs like these

But one thing is clear that though India made tremendous progress we cant say all Indians have progressed, now if  there ar...Read more

It is very sad that EKta is trying to present Mahabahrat in her saas-bahu serial mould. For her Ganga or Parvathi of Kahaani Ghar Ghar ki are the same. It is same Sakshi Tanwar playing the role with Manish Malhotra's oufits. In that way i dont recommend her Mahabharat to any one, as it is like tryin...g to know the story with out actually realising its essence or value keeping it on par with her saas bahu serialsRead More

I completely agree with u. Last week I watched one episode and was shocked to see shakuni and his wife. The man who played Shakuni was looking like a side kick of the main villain in a B-grade film and his wife, mother of main vamp in Ekta's serial...& the scene where Shakuni cuts his hand n makes ...his blood fall at a palce which is suppossed to be sacred......made me speechless... Ekta please stick to saas-bahu serialsRead More

HI DB, very well written review..but it is ur title which is more apt and my full marks to that. Yes there is no ball, there is no bat and there is no soprtman spirit. All we can see is very unhealthy atmosphere, very alarming flow of money and very manipulative intervention of media.

Hi Smita, So far I have read only ur comments in LRL forum. Loved ur review and the way you related the incidents in the film to ur experiences. Though I haven't watched the movie, the song 'Tujhe patha haina Ma' reduced me to tears when I saw it on TV. Thanks Cindy. Yes let us hope that the makers will listen to us and make LRL interesting & healthy entertainer.

Cindy, I am not against the entertainment element in LRL. In fact I liked the Freshers Ball and the cadets training and mass drill episodes where there was so much fun. But the reality factor of the beginning is definitely missing. According to me, In season 2 there is no focused & genuine script ...& the so called romance between Raj & naina is not convincing, (may be it is because for me the light moments between Huda-Naina & Ali-Puja are more appealing). As far as SAB TV running the serial based on LRL forum is concerned – I am against it!!. If they do it for “Four” or “Jarsey No 10” or “Love Story” it is fine but LRL is a military based serial, the makers can not be so casual. There is definitely some responsibility on their shoulders & they have to use the brains of those who have some idea about strict & disciplined life in an academy . Fiction is welcome but it should not include some unusual scenes and give wrong notions about a military academy. Each scene should be taken care. Inspite of this little disappointment , I still watch it. It is much much better than the Ekta’s crap. I reiterate that, like the way u highlighted the cadets in KMA, if the story shows the blossoming of cadets into soldiers, it will be very interesting. I still feel LRL has the spark, but first of all I request them to bring all cadets together. I am looking forward to see, Freshers Ball kind of Christmas or new year celebrations involving all cadets and faculty J J LRL certainly deserves awards…well you have 148 reviews to ur credit so what can I say ….“hats off to you”, I do agree with 98% of what you say Karteeka Read More

Hi Cindy, Good to see a review on LRL after so many days. What ever you have written about the cadets and the serial, being different is correct. But my question is did the story really stick to the students. Like Smita said in the above comment, the story was honest & sincere in the beginning but... drifted from the cadets to story (read as romance) of one cadet and a teacher. I am still watching the serial, leave the story I don’t even see all the cadets. I also had great respect for SAB TV for not succumbing to saas-bahu formulae but I was shocked when I came to know that they were running this serial according to the opinions of some youngsters in their forum. It was indeed shocking!! It would be good if SAB TV clarified this.Read More

Great reviews by my friends here, let me share my views also. I feel the current serials can be divided into three categories. Saas bahu, non saas bahu & reality shows. No doubt saas bahu serials are ruled by one lady Ekta Kapoor. They are the ultimate socio fantasies where a woman can be eve...Read more

Salma, as I told it is my personal opinion about Raj and Naina love track . Huda and Alekh are still cadets and immature so I don’t have any complaints about their characters. In fact all the new faces are doing good job. I some how feel that LRL is much better now just like season 1. One thin...g…It is not fair to say that no one matches Rajveer’s abilities. How can we dismiss veterans like Brigadier Chandok, Dr. Shalini, Major Nair, Suriji, Dr. Ritu, Lolita Sen and of course the cadets all these ppl contributed so much to LRL right from the beginning.Read More

Sorry Salma, I differ slightly Rajveer was an essential part of LRL but with inclusion of many new characters his absence does not make much difference. At least I don’t miss him, may be b’coz of that not so convincing love track between him and Naina that did not appeal to me. He was fit as a...n army officer but many times I could not agree the way he and Shveta Salve dressed casually even when they were taking classes. I do agree that more attention should be paid to the details which are very essential to a serial based on military academy. I do appreciate the efforts the makers are putting on to make the serial gripping. Read More

In what way is it natural? If there is nothing wrong in Rajveer's feelings then why is he trying to stifle them.

'Rajveer' s natural and unconditional feelings for Naina'. In what way is it natural? Not only Rajveer's, Huda's as well as Ali's love is unconditional. Huda does not put any condition that Nina should love him. He always requests her to let him know if she likes some one else. Ali in spite of hav...ing soft corner for Puja tries to help her when she wants to trace Rohit. If the Captain's feelings are not 'unethical' then why the 'torment'Read More

The belief is that if twenty five percent grammar in a sentence is correct, the message in the sentence can reach the listener. I think the same can be applied to any show. Even if , twenty five percent sincerity is shown by the makers it will be definitely liked by the audience. May be that is ...Read more
