Ur absolutely correct in saying that...its just that after getting frustrated with the kind of services we generally recieve from the various prducts/service sellers/providers (and most of the times from big names in the industry) when, for once when u're actually treated like a 'KING' the first thi...ng that comes to the mind is , 'com'mon whats the catch...wheres the astreix..?'...and like is this all really happening or is it that suddenly someone will shae n wake u up and hand u a bill for the services which ur were hitherto enjoying... :) and thats what surprised me the most and I just could not stop myself from sharing my experience with all of you...and by the way just an update My car has not given me any further trouble after that day...and pray it continues to run wonderfully in future...Read More

I abolutely agree with Shashanka on things that a CA lacks in though I take a lot of pride in calling my self a CA because this is the profession which has given me everythinh that I had ever dreamt of. I am not a rank holder and not even from a very affluent or a CA background and I chose to do CA ...because this was the most economical and ease to enter professional course at that point in tim e...Of late no doubts CA as attained recognition in INDIA but not because its a very dynamic and rewarding course, but because of the Accounting and Tax law knowledge that the members get during the course and also because of the fact that there are a lot of Attestation and Auditing powers that the Laws in India have conferred on the CA fraternity. I have been in Delhi & Gurgaon for quite sometime now and when I compare Myself and most of the people from the same origins that I have and even people from bigger towns and cities like Gurgaon & Delhi with an MBA from a Good Institute I feel ashamed of the kind of grooming that we as CAs get. Over a period of time we just become Accountants and not Managers or leaders. We simply lack that ability to Sell, Market and manage. We are just good at doing things. I seriously feel the need for a CAMPUS environment for our fraternity where the aspiring students are not only trained technically but more so on the Softer skills which are equally important in today's growing globalisation and opening economy of India. Also the Couse curriculum of the Institute needs a complete re-hash what we are studying now is much behind what's actually happening in the current economic world.Read More
