Gosh!! 11.5 lacs of expenditure for a fault which was not caused by you... pagal ho gaye hai Skoda wale . As mentioned above take them to consumer court, Its just a 3 months old car !! and you didnt banged into something.. But you have put forth a very large point... the ground clearance!!! I th...ink its because of the low ground clearance that the water pierced in the engine. but does that mean that you cant put water on the engine while washing it ??? But ground clearance, yes, I think low ground clearance cars are not good for Indian roads.. Cars like Superb, Civiv, Optra, Linea are good but with a low ground clearance also..Read More

i don't have have a chevy U-Va so don't what are you talking about. But you can definitely ask the showroom guys what its meant for. they should tell you that even if its not meant for your model and only for PS and LT . Otherwise attach a snapshot of it to this review.

hhmmm... Thats really a bad piece from TATA.. I guess the quality testing was not done.. One of my relatives owns one in Mumbai for the past 1 year and I got positive results from him. So it seems that this specific piece delivered to you is faulty..Why dont you catch hold of them and ask for a new ...one.. One thing. the vehicle isnt bad although it cant meet the quality levels of Innova or other 10 lac cars. But its better than Tavera and Xylo. Ask for a replacement vehicle sir.. Dont pay a damn new penny to them for this. TCRead More

Best line in the review 'Somehow I was quite sure that I never wanted a Swift or a Santro or an i10, so concentrated on Jazz, i20, UVA, and to some extent AVEO,' .. thoda hatke thinking. Punto ,Indica Vista and Fabia are the best hatchbacks in India today. Reliable, Sturdy, excellent engine and Good... looking too.. I own a palio which is 7 years old now and still runs good.. Good buy !!Read More

Well, you must be aware of TATA FIAT collab in sales. So, TATA is not far behind when it comes to counting the number of service stations. Again, Spare parts price is low of maruti cars because its completely localized. FIAT has better quality of parts. One look at the vehicle and you will come to k...now the quality of parts they use. Performace, Well, there is a bit of turbo lag in diesel and in petrol a bit under powered and that's because of the weight of the car or you can say the car is damn sturdy/solid built. The only places where i found SX4 gains mileage is when it comes to ground clearance and head room in the car. Otherwise, Linea in terms of built quality, features and engine is way ahead than SX4. btw, Maruti Swift has FIAT engine.Read More

Under 4 lacs ? hmm... I wud suggest you to go for Indica Petrol.. Spacious, Safer than Wagon R, guess, it comes with LPG also now.. TATA spare parts are not that expensive also. If not, then go for Spark..Its a good one.. Wagon R is good but quite an old model now on the roads.. You might want to ch...eck for FIAT Palio petrol also.. a bit heavy on the pocket but worth it.Read More

I agree with you in this case..It is the ugliest sedan launched in India. We better not talk about the engine. Why? bcoz, its not maruti's neither suzuki's but its FIAT's and its the best engine in Indian market for a hatchback (even better than Korean Hyundai). not sure how many people aware of it..... Now to answer other's question why people are still buying it is because they dont wont to go beyond it. there are so many other brands with better car than swift n dezire. But no, we only want maruti..SWIFT n Punto share the same engine and Punto's interiors n over all built quality is much better but no we want maruti swift. why because he or she has the same car. lolzRead More

I cant agree with your statement. This car was never suited for Indian roads because its ground clearance is soooo low.. How can you say it was the best car suited for Indian roads ? Secondly, the thing you said about acceleration.. lolz.. have you ever driven a verna or skoda ? thirdly, fully loade...d?? whats your defination of a 5 lac fully loaded car ?Read More

That was detailed review my friend. The car is good no doubt in terms of comfort and engine reliability but I find Toyota cars expensive for the looks and features. They step down the product like anything before selling it to Indian customers. Although they provide quality cars but at what price. T...ake for example Innova. It doenst look but the engine is fabulous and comfartable car too. But at what price which is 11 + lacs. And as we already know, Fortuner has turned out to b a joke after such a long wait and that hype. Spending 20+ lacs for the vehicle that has only good looks with a body roll also. Interiors are same a 11 lac Innova. Com'on Japs!! we are no fool. Third row seating should be strictly allowed to keep luggage. Heard toyota prius is coming to India soon and I m sure they are going to price it above 6 lacs. How can a aam admi afford that comfort and safety (Japs think aam admin in India doesnt deserve safety)? In that case, I prefer TATA cars since they turn out to be VFM cars although with some compromises but they are slowly sharing the benefits they gained by joining hands with FIAT in terms of quality. exmaple, look at the 1999 Indica and 2009 Indica Vista.Read More

That was again a good and informative review. The i20 looks and I shud use the word sexy !!! But the interiors dont give that luxury feel although the features do give. The engine I found is better than Skoda Fabia in terms or torque and power but I somehow dont like Hyundai cars for reasons like th...e purchase price is high, spare parts are a bit expensive (when compared to Maruti, TATA, FIAT, Chevrolet). and finally, its Korean although thats my own view. I m more inclined towards Italian and German cars and to an extent American excluding Ford. Because Italian and German cars give us that quality which we shud live with. Majority of people in India today still go for quantity at a lesser price and ignore quality.Read More

Hey, that was a nice and true review. My conclusion is pretty much same as yours about Skoda Fabia. But there is one thing, the badge Skoda.. There is a diff. when you have a Skoda parked in your garage then other premium hatchs like Honda Jazz, Hyundai i20. I agree with your point about the low tor...que n as you said that's a big let down. Otherwise, skoda cars are fabulous.. Good review. moving on to your i20 review now. :)Read More

Straight to the point, didnt you test drive the vehicle before purchasing it? did you check the service history of the car? the model you are talking abt seems to be the TCIC model. And the problem you are talking about seems to be the body roll you are facing (boat like feeling). If i m correct the...n Yes, this persists in the TCIC model. A bit of body roll. But my question is did you test drive before buying it?Read More

That was a good review. I would need your advice. I m planning to buy a used Safari (03-04) top model. It shud not cost more than 2.5 lacs for top model. I assume the vehicle has already done 75+ kms. So I plan to refurbish the vehicle in the engine department. What do u say? Is it worth. My total i...nvestment is not more than 3 lacs. Also I intend to keep the vehicle wid me for min 4-5 years.Read More

My advice wud b a bit different but its justa advice. decision wud b yours. Try Fiat Palio and Punto. I own a palio. Its a very safe and sturdy car and now after tie up with Tata the spare parts price has come. Also maintaining the car is no hassle. Its damn sturdy and spacious. Looks good too.

TATA Safari since you take the car on highways and if required Safari can fit in 6 people. Also the spare parts price and maintenance is low when compared to Skoda and most importantly, comfort in first as well as second row is way better in Safari than Skoda..Skoda is also a very good car. Its more... refined n rock solid..but dont go for a used Skoda if your budget is 8 lacs.. Hence go for TATA Safari !!!Read More
