On 26 March 2014 a person visited. He is from the service centre who takes care of Colaba Mumbai area for Eureka Forbes purifiers. May not be very ethical to give out his name. Firstly, he hardly has any idea to assess the problem. Rectification is far fetched idea. Secondly, sincerity of purpose is... completely missing. They gave some assurance only never to act on that. By the way I purchased another water purifier from another company. I Hope the experience will be somewhat better. At a place like Mumbai if service of Eureka Forbes is so bad then there is something very seriously wrong with the company. Its headquarter is in Parel at a distance of approx 15 KM from Colaba. God knows in whose hands the management of Eureka Forbes is entrusted. A company known for good service has completely failed to provide meaningful service to its customers. Conclusion is that the problem is not resolved and I do not expect anything positive as I do have some idea about the present condition of the company. Eureka Forbes is not 'friend for life'. It is a company who is 'enemy for life'. Their post sales service is pathetic. Call centre is just to give you solace. First they sell you product and then AMC for years so that their revenue is safe. You keep following up and waste your time, money and effort.... They have lost market share. They do not have any network of their own to provide service. They engage local third rate mechanics and dealers to to do some face saving exercise. Post sales service is not impressive for any company except when you buy some accessories. If your case is taken up by any media such as TV etc, some convent educated guy will extend his apology. If you can manage without their water purifiers for months then why to pay them. I called their call centre on 05 March 2014 and got a SR No. After a week or so called again. Till date nothing has happened. Now going to send them legal notice which is necessary before filing complaint in consumer court. Money lost is one time loss but the company will sweet talk some one else to fool them. As much as possible we should use legal remedy to hold this company accountable. Meantime, buy any candle based filter and boil it. Spread awareness. Rich business house does not come to sense easily.
