dhrubajk's analysis is useful. We can see that CM is useful for some people but not for everyone. I agree that RCI membership is pretty useless, but apart from that CM is not as bad as some people are painting it as. However, dhrubajk, you have not taken the annual fee into account. I have the same... membership as you and it is over 7 K for 2007.Read More

Just a comment for Mouthshut staff-this review is a general complaint about Club Mahindra but does not say anything specific about the Munnar resort. It should be moved to a different heading.

I agree that icicidirect is ideal for those whose main investments are in mutual funds-as it is easier to deal with them rather than different fund houses. It will be nice if the UTI funds are fully covered. It is also convenient for IPO applications. If you want to do anything more complicated ther...e may be problems. And the employees seem to be particularly dumb, but you should not have to deal with them once your account is opened.Read More

Useful points, but if you cannot even spell a simple word like 'dumb' people will not take you seriously :-)

My experience with BA is limited to a trip from Delhi to London and back in mid-2006. Generally the experience was satisfactory. There was a lot of confusion due to the bomb scare in UK around that time and many passengers suffered because they did not know about the ban on liquids etc. But t...Read more

A good summary of different aspects to be considered. Conclusion seems to be that you may need to have more than one bank to meet your needs.

There is no "perfect" bank which makes all the customers happy. It is true that the customer service in the bank branches is not too good (but still better than most public sector banks). However if your banking needs can be met by internet banking it is one of the best. If you need to do things at the branch it is not that good. The main nuisance is the ...Read more

For those who are more computer literate, ICICI Direct is very convenient to apply for mutual funds and IPOs. Unlike Citibank it does cover the SBI funds.

I have credit cards of Citibank as well as ICICI Bank. The latter is equally bad regarding the cash back scheme. It is better to ignore this aspect altogether.

It is really strange to see this airline mentioned here when it ceased to exist in 1974, when it became part of British Airways. There are quite a few other long-dead airlines mentioned on Mouthshut, but I don't have the time and energy to list them all. Mouthshut seriously needs to update this ...Read more

This airline ceased to exist several years ago and there is no sign or revival. I am a fairly frequent traveller on this train. Just an update-the 'Back to back' parking at New Delhi is not there now. Also, the Jan Shatabdi now has as many as 5 AC coaches during the summer rush. The long stop at Saharanpur is a necessary evil as it has enough passengers to and from Delhi.

I have had DD direct for about 1.5 years now. It is free (other than installation charges) and considering this what it offers is OK (however BBC has gone off recently). The cable scene in my city (Jaipur) is quite bad so I preferred this. If you feel DD direct is not good enough then Dish TV should... be your choice.Read More

There seem to be mixed feelings about British Airways among Indian passengers. But, frankly, if you want a direct flight from Delhi/Mumbai to London there aren't too many options, are there? Do you mean that Air-India's service is better :-) Jet may be better, but its fares are considerably more tha...n BA and AI in general. And Sahara may sink any moment.Read More
