Last year on October 10, music lost Jagjit Singh. Sony has released this album to ensure some more ghazals reach out to us that were previously unheard by most of us. The album starts with Tu Ambar ki Aankh ka taara and Jagjit Singh announces something that is impossible to put in here. Th...Read more

@DESPRADO Na rey...am still on what I said. I wish MS gave an option of ranking it 2.5 but even then maalik ne likhey hain gaaney to hamari kya aukaat ki gulzar sahab ka kaam 'review' karein. Its more like YRF Music. AR has just smiled and let them have their way. :) @harshdubey u are new here is...iliye you are so kind. :) I am known to be very harsh and bad generally :)Read More

A Chimta coupled with slow beats and a naughty Punjabi flute..all this along with an excellent group of back up vocals (the ‘hac! hac!’…marvelous!) arrest you when Kikli Kaler di starts. Naughty without being loud the song instantly profiles a casanova who has too many ‘balls in the air’. Pinky ...Read more

@amjad21khan - Shaant bheem shaaant. Trying to reply to your comment as under The songs are not of ARR class - I agree The tiltle song is uncessarily strecth It sounds nice because of Javed Ali voice. There is no ARR magic in the song. - Emphatically agree but dont u think you are judging it... as not an OST. It will go into the film remember? So it will sound filmy which is cool for me. Ishq Shava and Jiya re is the song which i liked and looking forward for video look. - I dont care for the video look. This is an OST look and NOT anything else The most crap song of the album is CHALLA i dont know whose i idea it was to get the song sung by Rabbi Shergill - ----- I Disagree dost. It is not ’crap’. If u disconnect the visual of an SRK singing the song on TV screen u will like it. Agree, there is less of ARR in the song I couldnt have given 2.5 because MS doesnt give u the option for the same, so i rounded it off because I do hope for the best and 0.5 star with positive bias because it is Gulzar sahab. :) This is more of an ’instructed’ music album so dissing out ARR isn’t right. :) YRF at the end of the day I really liked the fact that you voiced your opinion in such a dignified manner my friend. Cheers!Read More

The way ‘Saans’ starts, one does feel the sound of A.R. Rahman trying to hit you. Shreya Ghosal comes up with an echo (and a lot of ‘dhafli’  in the background and some unnecessary violins that more or less go on and on). Mohit Chauhan has probably done a doctorate in such slow mood songs and...Read more

Wakda – Excellent Morchang starts the song with the mridangam joining in later and superb nadaswaram leading the way for Amit Trivedi(who is now joined by the keyboards as well, by the way). A song talking about the ‘inevitable’. The song has a leisurely pace occassionally lifted by nasaswaram a...Read more
