I fail to see what the company did wrong in this case. It is perfectly ok for a health insurer to require a medical check-up after age 60, which is what it appears they did. If the applicant did not get the medical check-up done it is only logical that the policy would lapse. Also with insurance ...one pays a fraction of the amount insured as premium. In this case it looks like this person paid about 12000 annually for coverage of 200,000. The insurance company banks on the fact that similarly only a fraction of their clients will need to make any claims. This is what keeps the premiums at a fraction. So I'm not sure what the complaint is about here. I do not deny that this person may have had a bad experience. If the complaint is about the customer service, the reviewer should say so.Read More

Not sure if this is a recent problem but when I try to use their website (Oct 2014) the site is too slow and keeps timing out. I hope this is a temporary glitch. I have taken travel and car insurance from same web-site earlier and that worked quite well. I never did have to make any claims though.... So I can't comment on the claims part.Read More
