Reviewed Raman Raghav 2.0

(Updated Jun 27, 2016 10:42 AM)

After having flatly refused to be an accomplice in the watching of Conjuring 2, I was wondering how to walk out of Raman Raghav in the interval. I am the biggest fan of Kashyap that I know, but the movie was so dark it was making me almost sick. People are actually scary instead of imaginary ...Read more

The film is about an astronaut who gets left behind on the planet Mars after his crew assumes he is dead and they have to make an emergency exit from the planet. Matt Damon as the astronaut is a treat to watch. He is one cocky botanist who prepares to "science the s*^t out of " the situation and...Read more

As a non-malayalee viewer, I am sure I missed the  finer nuances of this adorable film. But as a cinephile, I got everything this film had to offer. The most recommendable thing about the film is the complete absence of Bollywood and its influence. Although there is mention of Hritik Roshan i...Read more

Dhulia's kind of films are what I love most about Bollywood. A dramatic representation of India and it's most interesting denizens, caught in  the unique socio-political dimensions of this democracy. When I first saw the promos of Bullet Raja, I had no wish to see it. I like Saif, but not in thi...Read more

The Phogarts(yes, that IS the title of this family) are an interesting family of Policemen. The Great Gatsby is the story of a man who defies all odds to materialize his dream. It is a story of materialism clashing with this dream. Annointed.Anuraag Kashyap as the best film director in Bollywood.ever! Dev D and Gulaal have previously ranked among my favourite hindi films and now GOW clinches it. Thanks to all the critical acclaim heaped on this film, by the time I saw this film my expectations from it were sky high......and I was beginning to think it was a case of overhype. Hats off to Tigmanshu Dhulia for telling a story that needs to be told and for telling it so beautifully, sparing no effort or creativity. If we had a film awards authority that recognised talent, Dhulia and Irrfan would be at least as well-known as all the very self-important celebs whose PR ma...Read more
