Hi bmathur32, On TC: why didn't you get the entire refund? I'm surprised that with a valid reason such as your Mum being ill that you didn't get a 100% refund. On low-budget airline: did you try explaining that your Mum was ill to them? They must have an organized policy/policies in place w...hereby when you provide them with the hospital bills etc they can work on your refund. On the TC refund aspect; 1. they must have a CSR policy in place. If such a policy is not mentioned on the website, then it is difficult for an already harrassed client to approach the right people. 2. there must be a timeline with regards to refunds. 3. So particularly for those who want to flout basic goodwill that is offered by any company regardless of our geographical location i.e. Delhi/ Calcutta/ Cochin/ wherever, etc. basic common sense should not be replaced by basic citizen sense. i. Basically, dishing out a different attitude based on client circumstances should not be tolerated. And I hope that Priya has managed to meet with the GM because the people in mid-junior management will 90% act as a hurdle in getting the matter sorted because a good attitude is not something that can be taught. ii. In Priya's experience that particular branch has a rather bitter team who certainly don't have a clue about client service and don't respect repeat business. Finally, as per our Constitution, every citizen has a right to be treated fairly with basic common courtesy just as the Management of TC would like to be treated. So here is hoping that on our 63rd Republic Day, Priya gets what is rightfully hers, is treated with respect and courtesy and that her family members receive an apology for the undue harrassment which is just out of line. Happy 63rd Republic Day!Read More

TC must be accountable for their . Just as 98% of the banks in India are accountable to the HO, likewise TC too is accountable to the HO. And the HO must be accountable to some government body in India too. Therefore: 1st- get organizing with a list of all the paperwork, list of charges non...-refunded for those family members who were not able to accompany you due to the fact that this was not communicated to you at all. Last minute relaying is definitely a load of nonsense. 2nd- find out where the HO is and who the GM is. Yes go straight to the top. Be very polite so that the blockers will not have clue why you are meeting with the GM. Do not give in at all. And being polite will get you that meeting. Perhaps, your friends might even know someone who may know exactly who the GM is and/or the Asst GM. 3rd- When you meet with the GM write an on-the-spot letter. Pre-write it if you want. But don't forget to get the charges in there. If you've paid by card/cash - the receipts - the confirmation emails - names of those travelling - loss of a)funds b)interest c)travel costs - get it all in writing. 4th- Make the GM realize your perspective and that is the fact that just as he/she would not like his family members to be treated with a lack of basic civility and courtesy that is expected in any line of service - how can you be expected to shoulder shoddy service and to top it all off your money not being refunded and the anxiety suffered by your family members who were not able to travel on account of delays. Go for it Priya - don’t give in with the non-refund; it is not right and do not accept it. Being polite will put those are rude offguard. So get on with it. Best of luck Priya. GitanjaliRead More

Antigua: totally agree that H&S is crap and should be banned along with the commercial nonsense that is sold in the markets with the promise to get rid of dandruff. My husband suffers from dandruff and H&S hasn't helped one bit. Then there were the Kerastese's and Tigi's and all the so called 'creme... de la creme' products found in professional hairdresser stores - but nothing helped. Basically, a hair transplant surgeon would be qualified to name a medically certified shampoo that works. Each one of us has different hair quality based on what medical conditions one has, whether one is constantly using highlights/lowlights, the environment, the water, food that we consume, and so many more factors. Dandruff no doubt, exacerbates hair loss. What would be fantastic is having a hair surgeon as an MS member who can contribute and logically quantify the basics on how to beat dandruff. This certainly needs to be discussed a great deal more. GitanjaliRead More

Hi Emptor, Tks for letting me know about the Inorbit Mall branch. Will certainly make it on my trip list. Just to clarify I don't have a clue about Kalbadevi mall etc and would appreciate the name etc so that I can add it to my trip list with respect to BTg's. The one I visited was in Zaave...ri Baazzaar whilst on Mohammed Ali Road and I was really glad to have received that recommendation from almost all the shopkeepers there. Fabulous and the chubby Gentleman there is a really treat - delightful - you will forget being tired from shopping :) Cheers! Read More

Hello, It’s awful to have had this experience. And it is certainly useful to know that paying in advance without having received delivery is throwing yourself into the deep end. Regardless, this is not right to have happened to anyone. Therefore, is there any way that the moderators can recommend re...porting this crook to the RTI authorities? Or is it pointless given our bureaucracy? What I find surprising is that 1807- yes citizens have voted Anupama’s report as being useful and yet, not one person has commented. Surely, Mumbaikars have a heart and have not lost it... yet.... or has bureaucracy and what happens daily made us all blind?? Why it could happen to one of your own. Would you then just accept what has happened to a fellow citizen and be indifferent.Read More
