I chose apollo hospital for consultation and subsequent surgery for my dad's ruptured varicose veins because I read about Dr. Sundar Narasimhan on the net and his sevewral years of expertise and experience in vascular surgery. But I was shocked to realise later that despite conducting all sorts of t...ests on my Dad who is 83 years plus, Dr. Narasimhan did not inform us that there were noticeably elevated pus cells and that there was an existing urinary tract infection that he should be treated for immediately. Instead he went ahead with the surgery of the ruptured vein and also performed another one on the second leg saying that there was hardening there too. post surgery when the wound did not heal he washed his hands off saying that my dad needed to consult a dermatologist and that his surgery was without blemish! he is rude, insulting and treats patients, even as old as my father with scant respect and does not suggest appropriate post operative care. The hospital charges are exorbitant and the final bill much higher than the estimate provided on admission despite no additional treatment or procedures being performed. I would advice anyone going in for any vascular procedure under Dr. Sundar Narasimhan should definitely think twice and seek multiple opinions before agreeing. Due to his callous and indifferent attittude my father had to be hospitalised a month after surgery because of the urinary tract infection about which the doctor should have advised at the first instance and possibly deferred surgery till that was treated. And now almost a month and half after surgery my dad is still suffering pain and festering wound at the place of surgery. Read More
